short film. He tells us the story of how he bullied his friend Stanley at school. It is his voice that we hear.
We get an insight into how David
sees and feels about bullying his friend Stanley. This makes us feel upset for Stanley and angry at David. Although at the end we hear how David feels bad about the way he treated his friend and feel sorry for David too.
This is a great text that shows
through voice over how a character can change. David tells the audience how he was a bully in his early life and though picking on Stanley was okay, but he has now transformed his feelings about bullying and feels upset about his behaviour.
hee-haw, he-haw is the sound
that Stanley used to make impersonating a donkey which is later used to bully him in high school.
For David hee-haw is a symbol of
how he bullied Stanley in high school but for Stanley in high school but for Stanley its a reminder of their friendship in primary school.
hee-haw is a powerful symbol of
Davids realisation of his terrible treatment towards Stanley. Ironically the line hee-haw for Stanley reminds him of friendship.
This line shows how David made
fun of Stanley in high school, his old friend and made new friends.
He used a metaphor to try and say
he acted vicious.
This metaphor was a strong way of
saying he acted viscous towards Stanley and acted like he didnt care.
