Tarshith and Jonahs Ship

~A.
Oker Harim

In the "Secret Religion," Tarshish is extremely significant from a variety of

perspectives. It is associated with King Solomon receiving precious metals and other
mediums of adornment for the Holy Temple. It is a Great Sea, a Hidden Land, etc.
And it is very prominent in the story of Jonahs Ship, which is discussed in the
Tikkunei Zohar as well as the related prophecy by our wondrous Nathan Gazati zl,
the Prophet.
In the story of Jonah, we find that our hero is The Dove and the Son of Truth,
who was the child saved by Elisha the Prophet. Jonah being the child of the saved
child Jonah was to be a Prophet of the LORD like unto Elisha. Yet, due to the
negative personal outcome of his experiences with acting as a Prophet when called
to Nineveh (i.e. modern day Mosul, sadly subjected to such ongoing strife of late) by
the LORD, Jonah fled in a ship to Tarshith, which in this instance is associated with
the Great Sea, and therefore relates to the Dragons of the Great Abyss. When
Jonah flees from the LORD, the ship experiences the effects of being steered by a
Great Wind (Ruach-Gadol), which curiously is a Hebrew term for Spirit and Breath.
But soon this Great Wind Becomes a Massive Tempest (Saar-Gadol), equivalent to
the phrasing of the Tempest in Ezekiels Vision, i.e. the Storm Wind associated
with the Merkabah.
To quell the Tempest, Jonah (The Dove), is plunged into the Great Sea and
swallowed by a Gargantuan Fish or Whale who is intended to feed Leviathan. Now,
the idol worshippers who originally plunged our Dove into the Great Sea had become
fearful of the G_d of Israel, repented, and made offerings and sacrifices unto the
LORD. At this point Jonah, our Dove, (after being immersed into the Depths of the
Great Sea) utters a heart-felt Prayer, and the LORD gives His command and Jonah is
vomited forth from the Belly of the Whale and Leviathan is denied his sustenance
from the flesh of the Great Fish.:
I called out of mine affliction unto the LORD, and He answered me; out of the
belly of the nether-world cried I, and Thou heardest my voice. For Thou didst cast me
into the depth, in the heart of the seas, and the flood was round about me; all Thy
waves and Thy billows passed over me. And I said: 'I am cast out from before Thine
eyes'; yet I will look again toward Thy holy temple. The waters compassed me about,
even to the soul; the deep was round about me; the weeds were wrapped about my
head. I went down to the bottoms of the mountains; the earth with her bars closed
upon me for ever; yet hast Thou brought up my life from the pit, O LORD my God.

When my soul fainted within me, I remembered the LORD; and my prayer came in
unto Thee, into Thy holy temple. They that regard lying vanities forsake their own
mercy. But I will sacrifice unto Thee with the voice of thanksgiving; that which I have
vowed I will pay. Salvation is of the LORD. And the LORD spoke unto the fish, and
it vomited out Jonah upon the dry land.
- Jonah 2: 3-11
Then the would-be Prophet, our Dove, is sent forth by the LORD to complete his
mission to the people of Nineveh. The people of Nineveh, hearing the warnings of
the LORD through his Prophet, our Dove, fast, clothe themselves in Sack Cloth, and
repent much like the repentance of the crew of Jonahs Ship, who plunged our Dove
into the Depths of the Great Sea. The people of Nineveh are then spared from
Divine Punishment and rewarded for turning from evil to good. But Jonah becomes
angry and fearful for his own people as it could affect the placement of the borders of
the Holy Land. He then invokes the name of Arik Apim and certain compassionate
qualities flowing from the Holy Beard:
I pray Thee, O LORD, was not this my saying, when I was yet in mine own
country? Therefore I fled beforehand unto Tarshish; for I knew that Thou art a
gracious God, and compassionate, long-suffering (Arik Apim), and abundant in
mercy, and repentest Thee of the evil. Therefore now, O LORD, take, I beseech
Thee, my life from me; for it is better for me to die than to live.
- Jonah 4: 2-3
Recognizing Jonahs anger, G_d causes a massive gourd to grow and its shadow
encases our Dove to shield him, but the next day inflicts this miraculous gourd with a
pernicious worm, causing it to wither and expose Jonah to the East Wind (Ruach
Qadim) and the intensity of the Solar Rays. The LORD taught Jonah by this lesson
that although Jonah had pity for the withered gourd, which had shielded him, he had
none for the people of Nineveh and should take pity on them as well, for they
knew neither the right hand from the left.
In this story is contained the Raza DMeheminoiutha, which is the Mystery of the True
Faith of the Secret Religion. Through this, we find the basis for the later advent of the
Precious Tree and Precious Mana. And in this tale is the key to the Great and Mighty
Dragons who dwell in the Pit of Vipers and the Secret of the Ashes of Golden Calf and Red

Heifer. For our Anointed One by Faith has ascended unto the place of the Heart after
defeating the Dragons dwelling in the Abyss or the Nether Regions of the Lower
Purity (Tehiru), which is the Vacuum, where the Direct Light cannot reach (writer will
not approach the Light of the Residua in this brief paper) until Mosiach defeats the
Crooked Serpent, the Piercing Serpent, and that Great Serpent, who is Pharoah, the
Mighty Serpent who dwelleth in the Midst of the Waters saying, These waters are
mine own for I have fashioned them for myself. These are the Dragons which rule
over the lesser Dragons which swim in Nine Streams that flow into the Great Sea or
Ocean. Our Mosiach had to enter Egypt, Mizraim, which is also called Mizra yam:
between the straights of the sea. After being nourished by Arik, who feeds the
Heart, AMIRaH, the Word, is elevated far above Tiphareth to the place of Arik.
And it shall come to pass in the last days, that the mountain of the Lord's house
shall be established in the top of the mountains, and shall be exalted above the hills;
and all nations shall flow unto it. And many people shall go and say, Come ye, and let
us go up to the mountain of the Lord, to the house of the God of Jacob; and he will
teach us of his ways, and we will walk in his paths: for out of Zion shall go forth the
law, and the word of the Lord from Jerusalem. And he shall judge among the nations,
and shall rebuke many people: and they shall beat their swords into plowshares, and
their spears into pruninghooks: nation shall not lift up sword against nation, neither
shall they learn war any more. O house of Jacob, come ye, and let us walk in the light
of the Lord. Therefore thou hast forsaken thy people the house of Jacob, because
they be replenished from the east, and are soothsayers like the Philistines, and they
please themselves in the children of strangers. Their land also is full of silver and gold,
neither is there any end of their treasures; their land is also full of horses, neither is
there any end of their chariots: Their land also is full of idols; they worship the work
of their own hands, that which their own fingers have made: And the mean man
boweth down, and the great man humbleth himself: therefore forgive them not. Enter
into the rock, and hide thee in the dust, for fear of the Lord, and for the glory of his
majesty. The lofty looks of man shall be humbled, and the haughtiness of men shall
be bowed down, and the Lord alone shall be exalted in that day. For the day of the
Lord of hosts shall be upon every one that is proud and lofty, and upon every one
that is lifted up; and he shall be brought low: And upon all the cedars of Lebanon,
that are high and lifted up, and upon all the oaks of Bashan, And upon all the high
mountains, and upon all the hills that are lifted up, And upon every high tower, and
upon every fenced wall, And upon all the ships of Tarshish, and upon all pleasant

pictures. And the loftiness of man shall be bowed down, and the haughtiness of men
shall be made low: and the Lord alone shall be exalted in that day. And the idols he
shall utterly abolish. And they shall go into the holes of the rocks, and into the caves
of the earth, for fear of the Lord, and for the glory of his majesty, when he ariseth to
shake terribly the earth. In that day a man shall cast his idols of silver, and his idols of
gold, which they made each one for himself to worship, to the moles and to the
bats; To go into the clefts of the rocks, and into the tops of the ragged rocks, for fear
of the Lord, and for the glory of his majesty, when he ariseth to shake terribly the
earth. Cease ye from man, whose breath is in his nostrils: for wherein is he to be
accounted of ?

* The Three Serpents are our Three Knots of Faith, or positive Abrahamic
Religions (Islam, Christianity, and Judaism). These are also Three Torahs depending
on the Shemittah ruling the Three Pillars of our Tree. There are Three Ages in the
Life-Cycle of Human Beings, which relate to the distance the Manna fell from the
Tents. These are the Five sets of Three. In Jonah, Tharshish is spelled hcicrt and
has a gematria of 1215, which reflects these concepts as 1215 is 35 x 5.
