Any person from any department that meets one of the following criteria:
If one person- Person must have basic understanding of all categories
Controls if major controls rework (support for Electrical Installation) ( to get current PLC software??)
Previous Engineering leads for this customer
Field Engineering staff if they are close to the site
Installation staff if they are near to the site.
SAE staff as determined by the SAE Estimating Lead.
Mechanical Application Engineers should have manager review and sign the form upon return.
Project Leads are required to scan and save the form in PMC

Who triggers a site review?

TACH speeds and functionality of APC as well as interface equipment
What company did existing PLC? Do we have copy of program?
Verify sales defined: available lay down area, available receiving doors, existing compressor and sizes/capacity
Location and condition of computer room for server location

Safety policies, obtain written copy if possible


Site conditions; temperature, dirt , lavatories, parking (trailers), utilities
Security requirements
Vendor personnel policies- Bathrooms, Break areas, exits to trailers and porta potties.etc.
Shelving or rack details if we are to duplicate
Cross-overs, color, vertical or stair, walkovers, existing locations
Colors of equipment: catwalk, handrail, header steel, platforms
Power distribution, locations, capacities
Fire doors and fire interlocks: brand, model, wall side
Bar code information, details , specifications. Obtain samples of all types of barcodes if possible
Verify sales defined product to be handled (Condition, tote details dimensions, weights)
Type of physical interface to software system (i.e. serial / ethernet, ect.)
If using something like DeviceMaster or Rocketport, ect., how many ports are available.
Document software screens and functionality.
Verify control cabinet FLA and feeder size
Determine where work will need to be performed inside live energized cabinets.
Are cabinets/switchgear labeled with arc-flash boundary and hazard category rating for PPE?
Are arc-flash analysis results and one-line diagrams available?
Bring back copies of customer controlled drawings of all affected areas, if available
Upload running PLC programs of all affected areas if possible
Software revision levels, product types (i.e. rapidroute), factuality (standard & custom).
Maintenance manager contact info:
Header steel: Max distance from panel point, ESFR requirements, threaded rod or angle drops
Locations of existing wireways (not conduit) - is there room to add more
If Dematic is doing power for trailer loaders, air compressor, lighting, outlets
get info on existing house power locations and spare breaker openings, and breaker brand

What should we add to the contract language if we do not go to site?


1 Reference to what revision of existing drawings are being used.
Anything not matching these drawings may require additional cost
2 If variance in site conditions (clearances . Customer will be reponsible to pay for additional rework)
Cabinets must have room for additional components as noted.
3 Clarify that we may not use existing conduit and panduits.
4 An expectation on the condition of existing equipment
