MAIN RESULTS

Companies find important sources of


income in Branches and Agencies which
become an extension for the commercial
operation of important businesses with
other main offices in different zones in
the country.

According to data in the Chamber of


commerce of Bucaramanga, there were
1,340 branches and agencies registered
on April 13th in 2014 belonging to other
departments in the country.
Currently, these Branches and Agencies
bring more than 25.4 Billion Pesos in
assets and their action in the economy
comes from commerce and services. It is
highlighted that 11,5% were established
before 1990 and these businesses have
developed along with the region. A
strong dynamics of new businesses was
also seen with the arrival of new companies since 2001.

No doubt Branches and Agencies register an important contribution in the business activities in Santander not only for
investment, employment and specialized
services but also because they indicate
that the Department grants an proper
environment for companies from other
areas of Colombia to gain value in Santander.
