SECTION 1: Findings
Congress makes the following findings:
1) The fast increase in CO2 emissions is causing the average global
temperatures to rise at a constant rate. 2015 was the largest recorded
temperature increase.
2) A Direct cause of global warming is the burning of fossil fuels, which are still
the primary energy source in America
3) Renewable energy is a promising solution to impede the process of global
warming, and if adapted entirely can reverse the effects
SECTION 2: Purpose
Limit carbon dioxide emissions, by increase federal spending in renewable energy
sources, reduce the burning of fossil fuels, and help ease the effects of global
warming overall.
SECTION 3: General Provisions
This act will increase the federal budget for renewable energy across the United
States of America by 30% every year. The practices of solar, wind, hydro,
biomass, tidal, and geothermal energy will all be implicated in this process. It is
anticipated that over the next few years we will continue to increase the use of
these renewable energy sources. This act will also limit of the burning of fossil
fuels. Currently only about 20 percent of the energy used in the United States is
renewable. Ultimately, our goal is to reach 100 percent renewable energy by the
end of the century at the latest. Right now the condition of the environment
seems to get worse every year. By increasing the use of renewable energy, the
carbon emissions will decrease. The beauty of the environment and all its
wonders may be preserved. This is a long term investment that will impact many
generations to come in a positive manner.

SECTION 4: Definitions
Renewable Energy - Energy that is not depleted when used
Solar Energy - Energy collected from the sun using solar panels or other methods
Wind Energy - Energy that is generated using wind turbines
Tidal Energy - Energy generated from the ocean waves
Geothermal Energy - Energy that is generated from the internal heat of the earth
Hydro Energy - Energy that is generated from water turbines.
Biomass Energy - Energy that is generated from animal byproducts plants waste,

food waste, etc.

CO2 Emissions/Carbon Dioxide Emissions - The air that is released from burning
fossil fuels that is causing the atmosphere to gradually warm up.
Global Warming: a gradual increase in the overall temperature of the earth's
atmosphere generally attributed to the greenhouse effect caused by increased
levels of carbon dioxide, CFCs, and other pollutants.
