of Transformation
(consider the context/values)

David is the main character of the

short film. He tells us the story of
how he bullied his friend Stanley at
school. It is his voice that we hear.

We get an insight into how David

sees and feels about bullying his
friend Stanley. This makes us feel
upset for Stanley and angry at
David. Although at the end we hear
how David feels bad about the way
he treated his friend and feel sorry
for David too.

This is a great text that shows

through voice over how a character
can change. David tells the audience
how he was a bully in his early life
and though picking on Stanley was
okay, but he has now transformed
his feelings about bullying and feels
upset about his behaviour.

hee-haw refers to Stanley being a

donkey but then is used against
him in high school.

hee-haw for David is when he

bullied him but for Stanley heehaw is a symbol for his and
Davids good memories.

hee-haw is a powerful symbol of

Davids realisation of his terrible
treatment towards Stanley,
ironically the line hee-haw for
Stanley reminds him of their
friendship.

David started the bullying of

Stanley by telling the other boys
how he used to act like a donkey.

By showing them his teeth hes

showing that he is vicious and is
one of them.

The metaphor of I showed my

teeth is a powerful reflection of
David being a good friend turned to
a horrible bully.

Voice over narration
