Rnd 1: *k2, yo, sk2p, yo, k1; repeat from *
Rnd 2: k
Rnd 3: *yo, k3, yo, sk2p; repeat from *
Rnd 4: k
Rnd 5: *yo, sk2p, yo, k3; repeat from *
Rnd 6: k

S1, K2tog, PSSO (SK2P)

Slip 1 stitch knit-wise, knit 2 stitches together, pass slipped stitch over. 2 stitches decreased.

Directions
With US 9 16 circular needle, loosely CO 108 (138) sts using the long-tail
cast-on or the German long-tail cast-on. Without twisting, join to work in
the rnd. PM to mark beg of rnd.
K 3 rnds.
On Rnd 4, begin Petite Lace pattern, using either the written or charted
pattern. Repeat Petite Lace pattern until end of rnd. 18 (23) pattern
repeats.
Continue to work in Petite Lace pattern until cowl measures about 9 (7)
or almost the desired length, ending after an even (K) rnd. Be sure to
leave enough yarn for 2 rnds of SS and bind off.
K 2 rnds.
Bind off loosely.

Finishing
Block if desired. (To maintain the roll at the edge, place pins at the lace
edge instead of the cowl edge.) Weave in ends.
