Summary
Symptom
The technical BI Content is required for using a SAP BW system in a
production system. As usual, the objects are delivered in the D version and
you must install them in your system.
The installation is carried out in two phases. Some objects are already
installed in the XPRA phase during the upgrade to SAP_BW 7.0 or higher.
Most objects are installed when you call the Development Workbench (DWB)
for the first time. When you call the DWB, the system issues a message
dialog box to inform you about this.
Before you continue working in the system, you should wait until the
installation job that was started in the background has been completed
successfully.
You may also have to carry out the automatic installation of the technical
BI Content after you import a Support Package. In this case, the
installation is executed when you first call the DWB after you have
imported the Support Package.
In Transaction RSTCO_ADMIN, you can check whether the installation has
already taken place and you can start it manually, if necessary.

Cause and Prerequisites

The installation of the technical BI Content is required after an upgrade
or in the case of content changes after you have imported a Support
Package.

Solution
If an error occurs when you execute XPRA RS_TCO_ACTIVATION_XPRA during the
upgrade, remove the error cause and start the installation in Transaction
RSTCO_ADMIN.
For further information about possible error causes, refer to Note 824109.
If you are not using SAP_BW, you can ignore messages from the XPRA phase.
Otherwise errors do not cause problems during the upgrade, however, you
should analyze them in more detail before you start using the production
system.
After the upgrade and after you call the DWB for the first time, check
whether the installation of the technical content was successful. To do
this, start Transaction RSTCO_ADMIN.
If the installation status is red, restart the installation using
Transaction RSTCO_ADMIN and check the installation log, which should
