INTRODUCTION

This Portfolio is a compilation of all my Tasks in Field Study 5 which is

Learning Assessment Strategies. There are tasks to be observed and achieved
in this course in order to make this study possible. The pre-service teachers must
follow and answer all the given questions in the Field Study Module. The Module
covers all the things that a pre-service teacher must know so that it could be
applied when catering in the field. The content of this Portfolio are the product of
observation for about seventeen hours in one semester. It is a duty of each preteacher to complete the entire task given by the Field Study Five (FS 5) teacher.
The entire Assessment tool used by the teacher gives an emphasis on how
must the teacher rate the students performance. This portfolio will serve as the
written journey for us a pre-service teacher whom aims for the best not just
ourselves but also for the sake of students performance by giving a correct and
appropriate judgment of their works.
The purpose why I made this Portfolio is to guide me in my future teaching,
this can give me ideas and knowledge on how I can deal with my students and it
is not the reason why I made this is that it is a requirement but it let us compile
all the things weve done and the things weve learned on the observation we
had.
Thus, its my great honor to thank our instructor Mrs. Nieves A. Cutab for
letting us produce this Portfolio because we can see ourselves on what level and
what are the things weve done and how far weve gone and learned base on the
observation we had. It is to be considering as one of the sentimental things
weve, when we are in our college years,.

there are times frustrations over rule my capabilities. I thank my professor who
constantly challenges me, who always sees capabilities, despite of my failures
she continues to believe that I could achieve success and become productive
teacher someday. She is Mrs. Nieves Cutab. She puts pressure and sometimes
the cause of my frustrations due to the various deadlines of task. But I know you
are doing all this to prepare us in coping up pressures to the real world of
teaching.
Above all things the persons around me who help me in fulfilling this said course
I gave all credit to the lord, for He is the one who mold me in who I am today.
Thank you and God bless.

General Reflective
Narrative Report

Those who educate children well are more to be honored than they who
produce them: for these only gave them life, those arts of living well.
-Aristotle, this quote represents the worth of a teacher. A teacher molds the life
of the students, so therefore it is most influential person in their lives.
The most memorable experience that I had in this study was, when I have to
make grades, fill up the school register and most especially in giving right
computed grade towards the learners. I felt very excited but the same time I was
being nervous because I dont have any background on how to give grades that
would offers justice to them. There were lots of people who influenced to so great
work and I then realized that making grades is not an easy task of a teacher but
at the same time it was very comprehensive. It gives me the positive outlook in
life. I do realized now that teaching is really my profession because even though
it was so hard but still I found it very interesting and enjoy.
There were lots of values that I had acquired, like the value of patience, in
making individual grades is not that easy most especially if we have lots of
students but still it is part of the job and at the same time I do really love to teach
also so whether I like it or not I must do the task. I had realized also that teaching
is really my passion.

TEACHER PRAYER

Most and Gracious and Heavenly Father, I thank you for the life of my
students. Thank you for the opportunity that you have given to me as
their second parent. May I teach them faithfully and heartily for all the
things that they need to know. Let me be as their guide as they steps
on their own lifes journey. Let me be a blessing to them so that they
can be able to mold their better future. Make me an instrument of
their success. Help them to be dedicated and faithful to their study
and help them bear in mind that without education future is useless.
And above all without you God everything is nothing. As we anticipate
your presence may you guide us in the right path towards
righteousness, because without you oh God we are nothing.

General Narrative Report

Teachers have a great role in the education of every person. They spread
their wings like butterflies and they let discover the unique living and loving
success. They are part of everyones life for the will impart and share the
knowledge theyve learned. Teaching is not a simple job because you are going
to have your fullest dedication and have more patience for you to impart your
discussion effectively.

In teaching the learners, the teachers use different techniques, strategies and
methods for them to discuss their lesson effectively and for the students to
understand what they were discussing. Teachers are not only focusing on the
academics of the students but as well as forming their attitude and behavior into
a good one. So, teachers are very flexible in dealing with her/his students so that
none of their students will be getting bored and hard-headed.
Teaching is the noblest profession of all. Engineers, Doctors, Technicians,
Businessmen, teachers are the one who made them. They are the product of our
beloved teachers. Therefore, future educator are challenged to do our very best
in teaching our learners. We are going to attain our goal in every discussion.
Teachers are not after of the salaries we received but instead, we are after of the
future of our learners and someday somehow., we can see them running their
own companies and they are one of the successful doctors and engineers and
its such a great output we have as teachers. Aim high and fly high great
teachers.

General Reflection

Excellent teachers determine the concept of the lesson, design learning

goals and objectives to meet proficiency with each concept, then teach a little,
monitor and adjust based on student reaction to instruction, check for
understanding, then adjust again. These check and recheck task place
throughout the lesson so that no one child is left behind.

Im very thankful for my critique teachers for the cooperation theyve given to
me. As I have my observation in each of them, I have lots of things learned, in
which I can apply in my future when its time to teach my students. I have my
ideas on how I can handle them based on what Ive observed and ideas Ive got
to my critique teachers.
For this will be my inspiration and a learning for my future teaching. It
enlighten me on why and how the teachers handle their students in the private
school. Ill never forget the advises of my critique teachers and they will be one of
my master to follow their footsteps in achieving my goal to be the best teacher.
As a Michaelite student, I do believe that teaching is the noblest profession of
all but being a teacher is not easy; because it is a never ending study. A lifetime
commitment not just in your work but for the dedication that you render through
your students besides consciousness, love and reason. Being able to teach is
one of the attributes that differentiate human beings from other species. It is very
hard for teachers to serve and give all what you got for your students
achievements. The future of your students will at in your hands. It is a great
challenge for us future-educator to do our very best in imparting our knowledge
to them in which we are in need to use and practice the different techniques,
strategies and methods weve learned.

Appendices

Positive Comments:
All I can say is that the demonstrator is good in a way that the students
participated in the class. Whenever the teacher asks questions some of the
students response to it and answer the question. It is also good that the
demonstrator or teacher gives praises to the students. She also gives examples
by writing it on the board. The interaction between the teacher and the students
is also good but not all of the time because sometimes the students some of
them is too loud and noisy. The teacher speaks clearly when shes discussing or
asking questions to the students. The students participated in the class just like
raising their right hand. The teacher moved around the room sometimes
whenever the students asks or clarify things just like on how to solve the
quotients or dividing decimals, and thats good because the students may have
pay

attention

more.

What needs to be improved?

The thing that needs to be improved is that the demonstrator should be more
energetic because on what I know elementary students are hyper especially
when there is an activity in the class. The teachers voice should be improved
also to soft one and louder The students did not took seriously the teaching
demonstrator maybe because they just think that it is their real teacher. The
classroom management of the demonstrator should me more improve because
she didnt handle the class well the discipline for the students. Just sometimes
because the students some of them keep on roaming around the room and
sometimes play with their classmates while the demonstrator or teacher is talking
or discussing the lesson. That was all based on what Ive observed this morning
