QUESTION TAGS (PREGUNTAS COLETILLAS).


Son frases cortas con la que terminamos una oracin, de
signo contrario a esta, y que busca la opinin u aprobacin
del interlocutor. Equivalen a: verdad?, no es verdad?,
no?...

GRAMMATICAL RULES:

Para formar esta pregunta corta utilizamos el auxiliar de la


oracin principal en signo contrario (si aparece en
afirmativo, lo pondramos en negativo y si est en negativo,
entonces en signo positivo) + el sujeto. Si no aparece
auxiliar, utilizamos to do (conjugado en el tiempo que el
de la oracin principal).
You worked yesterday, didn't you? (Trabajaste ayer, no?).

Hay que tener cuidado con los verbos to have y to


have got:
They have got your keys, haven't they? (Tienen tus
llaves, no?).
They have your keys, don't they? (Tienen tus llaves,
no?).

Si aparece el verbo to be conjugado en primera persona


del singular (I) en una oracin afirmativa (es decir, la
pregunta coletilla ira en negativa), lo conjugamos como
aren-t.
I am not wrong, am I? (No estoy equivocado, verdad?).
I am wrong, aren't I? (Estoy equivocado, verdad?).
