Dear Sir/Madam,

I am writing to apply for the Bachelor of Arts in Law program, in which I have developed a
great interest. The degree in Law, from one of the most distinguished and reputable
European universities, is my opportunity to expand my knowledge and professional
advance, and thereby commit myself to the progress of the humanity and the support of
the values of human rights and fundamental liberties, both in my own country and
worldwide.
As a high school student, I have been a dedicated and diligent learner. In the past three
years, besides excelling in academics, I have also challenged myself in various county level
competitions, including the Geography Olympiad, where I came in the third place for three
years consecutively. I obtained a special mention in the Infogographic@21 contest
edition 2014 and again the third place in theGeomondis contest 2015, 2016.
While engaged in the reality of high school courses, I took part in two projects within the
Youth Exchanges or Youthpass Erasmus programme, together with progressive young
people from other countries. The first, Europe (UN)known, with 50 participants from
Italy, Poland, Portugal ,Spain and Romania was held in Poland in 2014. The second one,
with a similar number of participants Iuve in Action3.0 occurred in Madrid, Spain in
2015. A range of topics of crucial importance for youth development such as employability
and recognition of youth work, formal and informal learning were discussed.
My decision to become a student at your university stems from an array of objectives,
pragmatic factors but also from my own perception of the institution. I am attracted by
the modern teaching methods such as interactive courses, active seminars during which
the student learns useful elements directly applicable in international law and legislation,
workshops and externship programmes that are offered. I am convinced that the expertise
I will acquire in the B.A. in Law program will be of utmost importance/significance in my
future career. I will learn about how democratic societies are built, obtain invaluable
knowledge and skills in the field of law and leadership. I am determined to work for justice
and social equity. Moreover, The B.A. in Law program is a perfect chance to develop my
personal experience by interacting with top students and leaders of other nationalities,
discovering new culture and traditions.
In conclusion, I would like to say that I am eager to gain new experiences, improve my
skills and broaden my understanding, and I am firmly convinced that studying in the B.A. in

Law program would contribute to my development as a specialist in the field, in the

optimum way.
Yours faithfully,

Manuel VELICU
