ABSTRACT

Measurements play a significant role on ones life. It gives people a visual

and mental "picture" of how the world looks. From small steps up to great leaps,
it all involves measurements. Measurements provide a strong foundation for all
the things existing in this world. It includes infrastructures, agriculture, health,
education, travel and the like. All of the things around us were all contributions of
measurement. Houses cant be built without measurements. Foods are product
of the right capacity of different quantities. In schools, all curriculums integrate
the study of measurements, which is an essential part of everyones lives. With
all these, people cant live without measurements.
This study entitled Accuracy of Measuring the Height of an Object
through Photograph is done for the purpose of determining the height of an
object to be more efficient and less effort and manner. Three objects were used
to be tested namely, light post, pole, and a basketball ring.
The experimental method of research was used in study to determine the
formula to be used in determining the height of an object through photograph.
Based on the experiment, the formula H = (d x Tan) + p where d is the
distance from the object, is the angle of elevation, and p is the height of the
person.
The photograph has contributed much in determining the height of an
object. The measurements taken were almost 100% from the original height.

With photographs, students, researchers, and respondents can greatly

benefit from the study in taking measurements of an object which is one of their
daily requirements.
In conclusion, the photograph is effective in measuring the height of an
object by the accuracy of the measurements based on the given height and
distance. From the different set-ups, the accurateness on the measurements can
be seen especially when having constant variables that may prove the
effectiveness. The research work also imposes lesser time and effort, few
workers and lower costs that are the advancements of the society.
