Engineers research and develop solutions to technical problems by applying the theories and principles of
science and mathematics. The branches of engineering include Aerospace, Agricultural, Biomedical, Chemical,
Civil, Computer Hardware, Electrical & Electronics, Environmental, Industrial, Materials, Mechanical, Mining
and Geological, Nuclear and Petroleum.

Architecture
Architects design buildings and other structures. In addition to considering the way these buildings and
structures look, they also make sure they are functional, safe, economical and suit the needs of the people who
use them. As a licensed architect, after gaining experience, you may take on increasingly responsible duties and
eventually manage the entire projects. Architects may advance to supervisory or managerial positions in large
firms. Some become partners in established firms while others set up their own practices.

Food and Clothing Industry


In India food & beverages industry has a wide variety of careers related to food- processing, preservation and
packaging, production chain, quality management and many other aspects. The food industry also requires the
specialized knowledge and skills of nutritionists and dietetics who are concerned with good and balanced diet
habits that improve the quality of life. There are number of bakeries, restaurants, hotels, stores, etc are opening
up and thus the demand for professional bakers, chefs and pastry makers is increasing. They can engage in
different roles from sales, and management of their own bakery or stores to working as pastry chef, food service
managers, cake decorators, and bakery technologist. The clothing industry includes textile designers, weavers,
pattern makers, tailors, textile technologists. It involves being in the process of creating customized designs and
patterns for either small or large scale cloth manufacturing companies or creating your brand of cloth or woven
and knitted fabric and garments. The patterns they create for all these industries are normally repeated in the

manufacturing process; the designs regularly cover the entire surface or large surfaces of the products. It
includes knowledge of pattern making, weaving as well as sewing.

Information Technology and Computer Related


Information technology (IT) is the acquisition, processing, storage and dissemination of vocal, pictorial, textual
and numerical information by a microelectronics-based combination of computing and telecommunications.
Your work will vary widely. In a company, you will have to upgrade computer softwares; get office computers
network up and running again after it crashes; set up and maintain the servers on which the company's internal
applications run. You will also create and customize the software products that are used, build websites; and
build and maintain the databases that you rely on to gather information to serve your customers. In the recent
past, the Accreditation Board for Engineering and Technology and the Association for Computing Machinery
have collaborated to form accreditation and curriculum standards for degrees in Information Technology as a
distinct field of study as compared to Computer Science and Information Systems today.

APTITUDE TEST RESULTS


An aptitude indicates your ability to acquire skills and knowledge as a result of training in a particular
area.
It is important to keep in mind that aptitudes are learnt and are dynamic in nature. Harder you work on
your aptitudes better it gets .
Your academics and aptitudes scores may differ from each other . since academic scores measure the
knowledge of a subject , whereas, an aptitude test measures the application of that knowledge.

We have measured you on the following APTITUDES:


MR (Mechanical Reasoning) - Measures how well a person can understand mechanical principles and apply
laws of physics. This ability is important in courses related to technology and sciences.
SR (Space Relations) - Measures how well a person can visualize or think in three dimensions. This ability is
important in courses such as art, technology and sciences.
VR (Verbal Reasoning) - Measures how well a person can reason with words. It also looks at ones ability to
understand and apply concepts expressed in words. It is important in general academic success and in jobs
requiring written or oral communication.
NA (Numerical Ability) - Measures how well a person can reason with and use numbers and work with
quantitative materials and ideas. This ability is important in sciences, technology, accounting and business
fields.
LU (Language Usage) - Measures how well a person can recognize and use standard english grammar,
punctuation and capitalization. This ability is important in jobs requiring written or oral communication as well
as higher level occupations in science, business and services.
VT (Vocabulary Testing) - Measures how well a person can understand the meaning and the precise use of
words for maximum effectiveness. This is important for communication in occupations involving high levels of
responsibility and decision making
SA (Speed and Accuracy) - Measures how accurately and rapidly a person perceives small details within a mass
of letters, numbers and symbols. This ability is important in office work and other jobs requiring fine visual
discrimination.
