1. Doctor of Philosophy (Ph.D)
i. Masters degree from UMT or any other higher
institution recognized by the Senate; or
ii. Any other qualification equivalent to a Masters
degree and possesses evidence of adequate
research or work experience recognized by the
Senate; or
iii. Outstanding Master student from UMT who has
been approved for conversion; or
iv. First Class bachelors degree or equivalent from
UMT or any higher institution recognized by the
Senate.

in sciences, engineering, economics, social
sciences and management or;
ii. Any other qualifications equivalent to the related
field and/or have a working experience in related
field.

Costs of Living
The cost of living depends very much of the needs of the
life style of the individual student. Students should have
adequate funds to cover living expenses, clothing, books,
trailling and others. Estimated costs of living is about
RM1,000.00 - RM1,200.00 (USD270.00 -USD320.00) per
month including meals and accomodation.
Accomodation
Private housing is available for rent with reasonable
rates in nearby areas (less than 10km radius) such as
Gong Badak, Mengabang Telipot, Kubang Badak, Wakaf
Tembesu, Wakaf Tengah and Tok Jembal.
