Software Release Announcement

Introduction
Unisys is pleased to announce Release 8.0.0 of the Track System Software for Unisys
Network Document Processors 850, 1150, 1600, 1825, and 2000.

About the Unisys NDP 8502000 Document Processors

The NDP 850, NDP 1150, NDP 1600, NDP 1825, and NDP 2000 transports are fully
integrated document processors based on the industry-standard Windows XP system
software. They process documents at speeds ranging from 850 to 2000 documents per
minute (dpm). These transports, when fully configured, have MICR and OCR readers, an
ink jet or stamp endorser for printing endorsements, a high-speed encoder for imprinting
pertinent data on each document, a microfilmer module, and an imaging module that can
capture up to seven images in several resolutions and image formats.

About Unisys Common API Track System Software

The Unisys Common Application Program Interface (Common API) is the Windowsbased system software interface that controls the document processing on Unisys NDP
transports. It enables developers to run the same application on different-speed Unisys
document processors.
The Track System Software includes the Unisys Common API, Microsoft Windows track
interface, applications, and utilities.

Interdependencies
The NDP 850-2000 image cameras have been redesigned to provide the 16 image
quality flags designated in the ANSI X9.100-180 standard and to provide more options in
image resolution and storage. The affected image camera modules are identified by
product styles ending in "-50", such as NDP856-50, and are built after April 19, 2006.
These modules are available with new transports and also when new imaging modules
are fitted to units previously installed at your site.

Software Support Service

All software upgrades are the responsibility of the customer. For NDP Common API
Software Upgrades, Unisys provides a Software Support Service to install and test.
With the aid of a Unisys professional, the Common API software can normally be
installed and tested in approximately one hour. When working directly with the
customer over the phone, the charge for this service is $225.00 per hour with a one-hour
minimum. If desired, in lieu of direct customer involvement, Unisys will schedule a local
service representative to install the software upgrade for the same rate plus round trip
travel expenses of $65.00 per hour.
In order to avoid costly and time-consuming mistakes and to ensure a correct starting
point for application software upgrades, the NDP Common API Software Upgrade
Service is recommended. To order this service or request additional information, contact
Unisys as follows:

On the Web, go to www.service.unisys.com and then click Contact Support. The

next screen will help you create an electronic Service Request.

Call (800) 328-0440, enter prompt 4 and ask for Software Support Services.

A support center analyst will return your electronic or voice contact. Ask to discuss the
NDP Common API Software Upgrade Service. The CSC analyst will then discuss the
upgrade proposal and deliverables and can schedule the upgrade service during normal
business hours.
Coordinate any Common API Software upgrade with your application provider.
