Note:
1) Monitoring frequency for each item is to be determined based on the following three (3)
stages:
Stage I: Two (2) months or more after the first impounding at the Normal Water Level
Stage II: Between Stage I and Stage III
Stage III: After dam and its foundation settle stable condition, which means that
monitoring results are getting steady and/or linear response against the external
load condition such as water level and dam body.
2) The structural and hydraulic conditions of the dam should be inspected and assessed
based on monitoring results and collective data.

that does not conform with LEPTS or needs the improvement to secure the operation
are confirmed, a tentative measure should be taken appropriately at once, and then a
permanent measure shall be carried out.
In case it should be identified that a facility or equipment does not conform to the
concerned Article of LEPTS, the owner shall report it to MEM (DOE) and follow his
direction.
In the field of Hydropower Civil Engineering Facilities and Hydropower Electrical Plants,
EdL Nam Ngum 1 P/S shall report it to MEM (DOE).
