1. The importance of psychology education

Its no doubt psychology education is very important. People can learn from this education how to
relieve stress and how to adopt a positive view towards his life. Moreover psychology education can
help reduce the suicide rate and help keep the stability of the society.
2. Cash and Credit card
I think credit card is much safer than cash. Since once credit card gets stolen or lost, you can cancel
it and retrieve the money spent by others. On the other hand cash may be more convenient than
credit card. Its especially true in developing country like China, because there are not many malls
and markets take credit card. So I always take both of them with me when I travel around.
3. Historical people
If possible I would like to meet historical scientist such as Newton, because he is the first one who
made great achievement on Physics. Also I want to ask him about the famous apple. I want to know
is that true Newtons laws were triggered by that apple which fell on his head.
4. Solve conflict with friend
If I have a conflict with my friend, first of all I will give both of us sometime to calm down. Then I
will put myself in his shoes and think from his perspective. After that if I still can not agree with him,
I will change a topic and try to forget about the dispute.
5. Pollution
One thing I know is Chinese government try to limit the emission of vehicles in big cities in order to
protect the environment. For example in my hometown which is a big city as big as Houston in
southwest of China, government require all the taxis and buses use only natural gas. You know the
natural gas is very clean and almost no pollution.
6. Adventure
As a matter of fact, coming to the United State is indeed the biggest adventure in my life. I had no
relatives or friends here. This is a country that has a totally different culture, language and
government. There were lots of risks and uncertainties involved before I came here. I was not sure if
I could be easily adjusted to everything new here.
7. To be a good teacher
To be a good teacher first of all you should be fair. You should treat all the students equally. Second
you should be understanding and try to have good communication with them. Third you should
possess deep understanding of the stuff you are teaching and update your knowledge constantly.
8. Passport
In my opinion, passport is the most important thing because it is the basic document to identify who
I am here. Like this test I must show my passport in order to come in and take test. My passport is
especially important when I travel around. People will ask me to show my ID when I buy air ticket
when I check in a hotel even when I buy a beer.
9. Global village
The world is getting smaller and smaller because of new technology. New informational technology
like internet, long distance phone have made people know each other much better from all parts of
the world. New transportation technology like cars, airplanes have brought people together from all
parts of the world.

10. The expectation

Before I came here I expected to interact with lots of Americans and make friends with people from
all parts of the world. However once I got here I found many people around are Chinese. My
roommate is from China. Half of my classmates are from China. I ended up hanging out with
Chinese people all the time.
11. Major
My major is Physics since I was always fascinated by the nature of the world. And physics can
explain how the world is organized and what it is consisted of. In conclusion physics is the key to
know what the truth is. Since then I was determined to pursue my further study in this field.
The study and research on physics here in states is more advanced than that in China. This is
because physics research need lots of investment. China as a developing country can not afford such
a huge investment now. On the contrary, the United States as a developed country possesses the
resources and capability to continue the research.
12. Characteristics of a person
I think the most important characteristics of a person is understanding. This is the key to success of
making friends. You need to understand your friends perspective and put yourself in their shoes. For
me I also expect to be treated the same way by others. Whatever I choose people around me can
understand and support me.
13. Describe Chinese
The best word to describe Chinese is hardworking. For example, since China is still a developing
country there are only a very small percentage of people who can go to college. So its very
competitive. People have to study and work very hard to pass all those tough exams in order to get
higher education.
14. Internal or external factor
I think internal factors like your ambition and you intelligence are more important for people to grow
up. There is a will there is a way. For example in United State, lots of people regardless of your
family background, as long as you work hard, you will achieve your goal eventually.
15. Biggest social problem
In China the biggest social problem is increasing population. China so far has been the most
populous country in the world. To feed the 1.3 billion people is one of the greatest challenges to the
current government.
16. Pessimistic
I am always very optimistic. I always look at the bright side of the things I encountered. For example
if I make a mistake in my research, it will only push me to do it again in a right way.
17. Where to live
I love to live in countryside like College Station because of fresh air, friendly people and not much
traffic.
18. Passive
I am the kind of person who always takes the initiative. I always come up with some good ideas and
get a group of people to help me carry it out. For example I am currently the vice president of
Chinese students and scholars association. I often take the initiative to organize some events or

create some opportunities for Chinese people to mingle with each other.
19. Leader
I would like to be the leader. For example in our research lab, the leader can control everything
especially the direction of research.
20. Status
In the old days, Chinese women were not allowed to work. Nowadays Chinese women are entitled to
the same set of rights as men are. Most of them get education and go to work. More and more
women start working for the government. In short the status of Chinese women has been improved
a great deal since the founding of the country.
21. Democracy
Contrary to what most American thought, China actually advocates democracy and its written into
Chinese constitution. However the difference lies in the different definition of democracy and the
priority between democracy and social stability. Chinese government provides freedom and
encourages democracy based on the precondition that stability should be secured first.
That led to what happened in 1989.
22. Friendship
Friendship is very important in everyones life. True friends are always best place for advice,
encouragement and help. For example sine I got to the United States, I have received great help
from my friends. Without them life here would be boring and difficult.
23. Weather
The temperature will influence what you wear. Put on a coat when the temperature is low. T-shirt go
with hot weather. Weather also influences the color I chose. In summer I wear clothes with light
color such as white and yellow which make me feel cool. However in winter I often put on clothes
with dark color.
24. Dream
Dreams are often a response to our daily thoughts and activities. They are often a reflection of what
happens in the day time. So there is an old saying: what doing, what dreaming. Sometimes dreams
come first. People dreamed about flying in the sky, walking on the moon, diving in the deep ocean.
People dream first, then try their best to make it come true.
