Below section is applicable if your current residential status is Non-Resident Indian
I hold NRE Savings Bank A/c No._________________ under customer ID ________________ and NRO
Savings Bank A/c No. __________________ under customer ID __________________ with your Bank.
I request you to convert my existing Resident Savings Account No. (where I am a sole/first account
holder) ___________________________ under Customer ID___________ to NRO Savings Account.
I am aware that on re-designation:
1. The account number of the re-designated account will remain the same as my existing savings
account number.
2. Existing Fixed Deposits will be re-designated as per my current residential status.
3. All Recurring Deposits which are active and linked to my resident savings account will be closed
and funds will be credited to my re-designated NRO Savings Account.
4. My LAS account will be re-designated as per my current residential status.
5. My reimbursement current account linked to my customer id will be closed and funds will be
credited to my re-designated NRO Savings Account.
6. I will not be able to avail of DTAA in the current financial year. The same can be availed by me in
the next financial year by submitting the necessary DTAA documents as per bank's requirement.
7. The existing Domestic/International Debit Card will be de-activated and I will have to apply for a
new Domestic Debit/ATM card for my re-designated Account.
8. I will inform NSDL / CDSL for change of status to Non Resident.
9. I will close my Demat Account / Investment Services Account and open NRO Demat Account/
Investment Services Account and transfer my holdings.
10. In case, I am a joint holder in any resident savings account then my status will remain NRI, but
the mode of operations will be changed to former or survivor.

11. In case there are more than two account holders in the resident savings account and I am a joint
holder in that account, then my name will be removed from that resident account.
Below section is applicable if your current residential status is Resident Indian
I hold Resident Savings Bank A/c No._________________ under customer ID _______________with
your Bank.
I request you to convert my existing NRE A/c No____________________________ / NRO Account No.
_____________________________ to Resident Savings Account No.
I am aware that on re-designation:
1. The account number of the re-designated account will remain the same as my existing savings
account number.
2. Existing Fixed Deposits where I am a primary holder will continue till maturity or re-designated
into a resident FD/RD and on maturity. It will be renewed as resident FD/RD.
3. All Recurring Deposits which are active and linked to my NRE savings account will be closed and
funds will be credited to my re-designated Resident Savings Account.
4. Existing FCNR deposits will be renewed on maturity as an RFC reinvestment deposit for 3 years.
5. My NRE/NRO PIS accounts linked to my NRE/NRO savings account will be closed.
6. The existing Debit Card will be de-activated and I will have to apply for a new Debit Card.
7. My LAS account will be re-designated as per my current residential status.
8. I will have to close my Demat Account / Investment Services Account / HSL Trading account held
under Non Resident Status and open Resident Demat Account/ Investment Services Account
/HSL Trading account.
9. I will inform NSDL / CDSL for change of status to Resident.
10. I will have to destroy existing cheque book and apply for new cheque book.
11. In case I am a joint holder in any Non Resident savings account then my status will remain as
resident Indian but the mode of operations will be changed to former or survivor.
12. In case there are more than two account holders in the NRE savings account and I am a joint
holder in that NRE account, then my name will be removed from NRE savings account.
Request you to kindly consider the request and re-designate my account as per my current residential
status.
