Habitat for Humanity International (HFHI) is a non-profit ecumenical Christian organisation dedicated to eliminating

substandard housing and homelessness worldwide and to making adequate, affordable shelter a matter of conscience and action.
Habitat for Humanity is founded on the conviction that every man, woman and child should have a simple, decent, affordable place
to live in dignity and safety. Habitat for Humanity Bangladesh (HFHB) is a relativity small operation dedicated to the eradication of
substandard housing and homelessness in Bangladesh. HFHB is currently looking for interested and qualified candidates for the
following position.
Finance Manager (Based in Dhaka)

Responsible for the overall efficient, effective implementation of Finance Policies and Procedures of the HFHI-B, HFHI
and IAS/BAS, VAT & Tax, NGOAB (FDs Forms) rules and regulations.

Coordinate both internal and external audit as well as respond to internal and external audit recommendations in a timely
manner.

Ensure the effective use of HFHI-Bs financial resources and assets, proper maintenance of Inventory and fixed assets
registers.

Ensure and coordinate recording of financial transactions into the SUN system, review of all type of vouchers and ensure
proper documentation & preservation of vouchers as well as review and follow up the advances, accounts receivable,
accounts payable, prepaid expenses in timely basis.

Prepare and submit monthly financial reports to Senior Manager Finance and coordinate & communicate with HRCs,
Partner and Project to prepare report in timely manner with accuracy.

Prepare and submit monthly and quarterly financial reports to Senior Manager Finance to meet Asia Pacific Office as well
as donor deadline and document those reports accordingly.

Assist Senior Manager Finance in preparing Annual Budget, maintaining and monitoring budgetary control.

Ensure funds availability in field office and prepare cash flow statement, bank reconciliation statement, in monthly basis
for NO, HRC and Partners.

Reviewed and support to maintain accurate provident funds and gratuity funds accounts monthly basis and transfer
accordingly.

Assist Senior Manager Finance in developing, updating and coordinating Finance Policies, Procedures, guideline and
templates.

Supervise and monitor other finance staffs within the finance department.

Communicate and respond finance related queries from NGOAB as per requirements.

Requirements: The ideal person should have Masters degree from Commerce in Accounting/Finance/ Management with 3-5
years working experience including 2-3 years in managerial/supervisory position in Financial Management & Accounting
preferably with a Development Organization like NGO/INGO.

The candidates having CA/ACCA fully or partly completed is

preferable.

Audit experience strongly preferred.

Comprehensive financial management skills to direct financial planning,

Capacity to manage and negotiate with international partners, donors such as DFAT,

DFID, USAID, CIDA, KOICA etc., auditors, government officials, corporate partners and grassroots partners.

Advanced

knowledge and experience with accounting software preferably Sun Systems and MS Office applications. Proven integrity and
good character especially in the stewardship of resources, transparency and accountability and strong commitment to uphold the
organization values and principles.

Advanced knowledge on NGOAB rules especially (FDs forms), VAT & Tax and related

legislation of government of Bangladesh.
