EXECUTIVE SUMMARY
The project had to be performed in order to apply the knowledge that we have
gained, while studying the course of Management, into the most precise yet real
situation. The company which we had chosen for the project was Super Asia
Mohammad Din Sons Limited.

Super Asia is engaged in producing top order home appliances in South Asia.
Recognition of its achievements in quality products are manifested in the form of the
ISO 9002 certification. The success tale spread well over 25 years when Super Asia
produced the first washing machine of Pakistan. Later on Super Asia started producing
Fans , Room air coolers , gas and electric geysers , microwave ovens ,
motorcycles etc
Keeping in view the requirements and purchasing power of all the segments of the
society Super Asia has introduced different washing machines to meet their demands.
Super Asia has the honour to produce complete plastic body washing machine for the
first time in Pakistan.

Managerial process of Super Asia


Now we will discuss the managerial process of super Asia comprehensively. To discuss
the managerial process of a firm one has to study thoroughly the 4 main features of
management as we are going to discuss below.

Planning
To plan about something it should be quite clear
1. What is your goal?
2. How you are going to achieve your goal?
3. Whats the ideal time of doing certain actions to achieve your goal ?
4. Who will be the best to do it or finding best /suitable persons for this purpose?

Goals and Objectives


In this case goals and objectives are well defined , super Asia has a vision to
provide good quality home appliances within Pakistan Keeping in view the
increasing requirements with increase in population companys management has
forecasted the upcoming challenges cautiously .

Productivity
Company is going to increase its production with increasing demand. To deal
with how to achieve goal company hires professionally competent employees , adopt
modern techniques of production , use good quality of raw material and develop reliable
venders for supplies.

Iso Standards
As we know Recognition of its achievements in quality products are manifested
in the form of the ISO 9002 certification so its quite clear that the quality is up to the
mark and there is no question about the quality .

Profit Maximization
To maximize profit company controls the misuse of raw material and ensures the
maximum utilization of resources , keeps an eye on labor strictly and make them work
as hard as they can. To fulfill consumers demand company would visit and do market
surveys to adopt changing trends and demand of consumer and after that company will
come up with such models that can satisfy consumers demand

Energy Crisis

The company focuses on long term planning as it is 40 years old now. To cope
with present energy crisis in country that we all are dealing with company uses efficient
generators to produce sufficient energy to meet its requirement

Social Responsibility
Company has also some social welfare plan for example super Asia trust hospital
and in addition to that companys management Keeps in view the requirements and
purchasing power of all the segments of the society Super Asia. Apart from looking after
the affairs of factory, chairman Haji Muhammad Yousaf is equally paying his attention
towards religious affairs and social work. He has constructed a Mosque, Mian
Muhammad Din Trust Hospital is another example, where free medical treatment is
being provided to factory workers, and the needy of nearby localities .

Organizing
Organizing can be simply defined as establishment of relationship between the
activities , persons and physical factors now we study it a bit deeply how organizing is
done.

Structure
The Organizational structure, i.e.; Work specialization, Departmentalization,
Chain of Command, Span of control, Centralization/decentralization and Formalization
and how the organizational structure is affected by different factors is covered in the
topic.

Division of Labor
For different products in Super Asia for example (motor bikes , home appliances)
labor is divided accordingly. a mechanic is supposed to do mechanical work while an
electrician will do his related work thats how the labor work has been divided in
company

Departmentalization

Departmentalization is another key factor to organize, for an instance if we want


a demand of our product in market then a marketing department should be there just
like that if we want a good check and balance in our financial matters a finance
department should also be there. However in Super Asia it works just like that
departments are divided according to the specialization of job.

Power and Authority


Talking about authority in super asia has assigned authority according to the
ranks like director is at the top and has highest authority then comes general manager
and the chain goes down.
Whenever the company has to take decisions that would affect the labor, the production
house or any other lower unit of the organizational, the top management takes the labor
force, the HODs and the managers into confidence as the decision would be
implemented as whole and the opinion of every person counts in it. Later, once the
decision has been implemented by the top management it is compulsory for each and
every personnel that is linked to the decision to abide by it.

Leading
Leading can be simply defined as leaders guide and supervise subordinates to fulfill
objectives established in planning or simply to implement what we have planned.

Super Vision
In Super Asia companys mangers keep an eye on labor work and supervise
them continuously to get the job done. to motivate workers company would offer
incentives and bonuses according to the labor law of Pakistan.

Labor Conflicts
There are no such conflicts in the firm between management and labor and labor
is quite satisfied with management o company thats make company to work more
efficiently and in a good manner.

Motivation
Although this concept of conflicts is very small throughout the organization. But
the giving of rewards, e.g.; bicycles, appreciation certificate, acknowledgement
certification drives a motivating force amongst the employees to perform better than the
other one.

Values
Keeping in mind the companys standards and repute, In the organization every
employee has his own rights and values. The company respects these values and rights
of the employees until and unless they are involved in lawful activities. Any kind of
disturbance or illegitimate activity performed by any person leads to straight expulsion
of the individual from the organization. These type of unlawful activities are highly
discouraged in the organization.

Team Orientation
In Super Asia there is not a big concept of cross functional workers or teams
working together for one purpose but there are annual session, get-to-gathers, annual
music show and lavish dinners so the employees can sit together and know each other,
professionally and socially.
Innovation
Today technology is growing so fast so that employees have to face the
innovative changes in an organization and risk taking. There is always risk faced by the
employees as well as organization. As the employees in the organization are 20-30
years old, and have been working here in the same way with just minute changes in
their activities, the workers are used to their processes.

Controlling

When the work has been done it will be reviewed, measured and then will be
corrected if there is some mistake to confirm its perfection.

Measuring
The company gives its customer the best Quality product, as much as it can,
hence they have to keep a sharp eye on each and every minute detail of what they
producing. The company already has about 30-40% share in the Home Appliances
industry of Pakistan and hence they have to look after each and every process of
producing the finished goods.

Comparing
In the light of these strategies, the Company encourages the employees to
produce the best quality finished goods rather than how to produce them. The Heads of
the respective department while production, and the QC department, at the end ensure
that the good produced is according to the companys standards.

Correcting
If the results are not according to the ISO standards and the demand is getting
lower then there must be something wrong. But Super Asia has satisfied the ISO
standards and doing good work in Market and enhancing its work and quality with the
passage of time.
