The Gifts of Healing

October 9-October 15

Father God,
Thank you for loving me and taking care of me. Bless my church, Pastor Ron and
his family. Bless my teachers for teaching me Your Word. I believe your love is
flowing through me to other people. Help me to obey my parents so things will go
well with me and I will live a long life on the earth. I will tell how great You are and
how much I love You. I thank You that by Jesus stripes I am healed in my body and
my soul.

Before Jesus was born as a baby to Mary and Joseph, He lived in Heaven
with Father God and Holy Spirit. Even though He was Gods Son He
had to leave His powers in order to come to the earth and become a
man. When Jesus was baptized at the Jordan River the Holy Spirit came
on Him as He rose up from the water. This is when He received the
power of the Holy Spirit.

I lay hands on the sick and use my faith to believe and pray for
healing for those oppressed of the devil.

I am filled with the Holy Ghost with the evidence of speaking in
tongues.

The Holy Spirit empowers believers with gifts to heal the sick
supernaturally.

Acts 10:38, How God anointed Jesus of Nazareth with the Holy
Ghost and power; who went about doing good and healing all that
were oppressed of the devil; for God was with Him.

Holy Spirit gave Jesus the Gifts of Healing and all of the other spiritual
gifts that He used after that to help people. Before He received Holy
Spirit He did not have the power to heal the sick or work miracles.
Immediately after Jesus received the power of Holy Spirit, the devil tried
to get Him to give up Gods power and take gifts from the devil. But
Jesus was full of Holy Spirit power and let the devil know that He was
faithful to only God. Satan wants to make people sick and keep them
down. Jesus came to earth to show us how to have a better life.
When we believe on Jesus, Holy Spirit comes to live inside us and we
can do the things that Jesus did when He was on the earth. Some
believers like Paul are empowered with the Gifts of Healing where the
sick person gets well right away. Not everyone who is a believer will
operate in the Gifts of Healing but all believers are empowered to lay
hands on the sick and use their faith to believe and pray for healing.
When they do this, the sick person may get better and better as the
days go by. When we pray for someone to be healed and it doesnt
happen instantly, we should keep believing God and use our faith
because it is always Gods will to heal.
