Manideep:Myexperiencehasbeenbadwiththevirtualcalculatorlikesomany
others.Weareusedtothegoodoldphysicalcalculatorwhichhasmanyfeatures
andonwhichweusedtoworkmostofourengineeringproblems.Itissameasthe
calculatorinMicrosoftWindows.Ilostnotlessthan10marksbecauseofit.Itwas
adrawbackforme.IstronglythinkthatGATEcommitteeshouldreconsiderthis
issue.Itsnoteasytoconverttoitasweusethephysicaloneforsomanyyearsand
thenwehavetoworkwiththeonlineoneforGATE

whencomparedtopreviousyears.Wereyoupreparedforthiseventuality?How
didyouprepareforthenumericalquestionsconsideringthattheyrequirespeedin

Manideep:Althoughthenumberofnumericalquestionsincreased,thelevelsof
difficultyofthequestionshasdecreasedsubstantially.Sothetimegivenwasjust
enough.Unlikeothercompetitiveexams,GATEdoesn'ttestyourspeedof
calculating.Itchecksyourconceptualskills.Socomplaintsoftimeinsufficiencyare
notheardof.Thesolutiontonumericalproblemsismoreandmorepractice.Get
theformulaeinplaceandpracticetheproblems.Youarereadytogo.
