$You asked; we answered. The SBA Treasurer and Budget Committee has

been working tirelessly this summer and semester to efficiently adapt to

the changes in budgets last year. The students have asked for
$
transparency, so all budgetary documents have been posted to the SBA
$
Page.

In this months edition of Continued Transparency, we are pleased to

announce that all 42 student organizations that have requested money for
$
the semester have received their budgets. You can see what was requested

The Brooklyn Business Law

Association is a student
organization made up for
students interested in the
practice of business law. BBLA
seeks to provide educational,
social and networking
opportunities for its members
and the greater BLS community
with goals of (i) giving students an opportunity to better understand
various business law practices including but not limited to the areas of
bankruptcy law, commercial law, financial law, corporate law and
securities law and (ii) providing students with opportunities to meet
fellow students, BLS alumni and other practitioners interested in or
involved in the practice of business law. Check them out!

Whats New with the SBA

SBA Pizza Party. The SBA is proud to continue its tradition of hosting
a FREE pizza party for all students/faculty. It is a great opportunity to
grab a slice in between classes and hang out with the BLS Community.
Wednesday, October 5, 7 p.m. in the Courtyard
First SBA General Body Meeting. Join the SBA for the first GBM of
the semester. We will be introducing the newly elected 1L Delegates
(see above), discussing the budgets, and selecting committees:
Barristers Ball Committee, Philanthropy Committee (Spelling Bee and
Race Judicata), Budget Committee, Social Media Committee. Lunch
will be served.
Thursday, October 6, 12:40 1:55 p.m. Room 602
SBA Leadership Mixer. A great chance for student org leaders to
mingle in a relaxed atmosphere.
Thursday, October 13, 7:30 - 9:30 p.m., Geraldos
Halloween Party. The SBA is hosting the annual BLS Halloween
Party. All of your student orgs will have tables to provide food/snacks.
Dress in your best costumes, there might be prizes!
Thursday, October 27, 7 10 p.m., Geraldos
