Introduction
The 8-In-1 Universal Remote can operate up to eight different machines. .
One device controls your TV (including HDTV, Plasma and LCD), DVD,
VCR, CD, audio, satellite, cable and auxiliary devices.
Read all operating instructions before the product is operated.
Save These Instructions Retain all operating instructions for future .
reference.
Battery Precautions
WARNING: Only adults should handle batteries. Do not allow a child to use
this product unless the battery-compartment cover is securely attached to
the battery compartment, in accordance with all product usage instructions.
Keep batteries away from children and pets.
Do not mix a used battery with a new battery, or mix different sizes of
batteries together.
Insert the batteries, observing proper polarities (+/) as indicated inside
the battery compartment. Failure to properly align the battery polarities
can cause personal injury and/or property damage.
Battery Precautions
Remove exhausted or discharged batteries from the product. If you are
not going to use the for an extended period, remove the batteries.
Never throw batteries into a fire. Do not expose batteries to fire or other
heat sources.
Dispose or recycle exhausted/discharged batteries in compliance with all
applicable laws. For detailed information, contact your local solid waste
authority.
Battery Installation
1. Remove the battery compartment cover located on the bottom of .
the unit.
2. Insert 2 AA alkaline batteries (purchase separately), according to the
diagram inside the battery compartment.
3. Replace battery compartment cover.
Note: When replacing batteries, insert new batteries within two minutes of
removal to ensure saved programming.
Notes:
During step 8, some devices may not turn off, but PLAY, CHANNEL UP .
or MUTE will. This indicates you may have found the correct code.
While the remote is in code search mode, any button that is pressed other
than EXIT or DEVICE will be ignored. The remote remains in code search
mode.

To program the AUX to control an additional TV with the 3-digit device
code 015, press the following buttons in sequence:

Note:
Once your device turns off during the searching process, you may press
and release the corresponding DEVICE button to store the found code
without pressing the PAUSE button. However, this is not recommended as
the remote control searches the code list very quickly and you may miss
the correct code.
When the correct code is found, if the original remote control of your
device does not have a POWER button, the device may not turn OFF/ON
but may PLAY, or CHANNEL UP or MUTE.
If your device has not turned OFF after all codes have been searched, the
LED flashes four times rapidly and comes ON. The remote remains in the .
search mode.
If no button is pressed for more than 20 seconds, the remote will exit .
the search mode automatically and the previously programmed code is
retained.
When the code search is in PAUSE mode, if any button other than REW,
FWD, CH+, CH or EXIT is pressed, the remote remains in PAUSE mode. .
To return to search mode, press the PAUSE button again.
After the code search has stopped by pressing the PAUSE button, you may
press the following buttons to change the search direction:
Press the FWD button to send out the next 10 code sets and stop.
Press the REW button to send out the previous 10 code sets and stop.

Code Display
Once youve programmed the universal remote to control your device, it
may be necessary to determine which 3-digit code is being used. This saves
time if you ever need to program the remote again (e.g., you forgot the
set-up code or programming is lost when changing the batteries). Once the
codes are displayed and recorded, you can reprogram your device using the
Direct Code Entry method.
1. Press and hold the DEVICE button youve programmed for 3 seconds. .
The LED illuminates when the button is pressed and goes off after .
3 seconds (e.g., TV).
2. Release the DEVICE button; the LED comes back on.
3. Press and release the INFO button; the LED turns off when the button is pressed. The LED displays the code by flashing slowly the three
digits separately. Count the number of times the LED slowly flashes for
each code number.
4. Write down the code displayed in the boxes below for future reference.
For the CODE 238, the LED slowly flashes two, three and eight times .
to indicate:
Note: The LED fast flashes one time to indicate the digit 0.

Learning
The 8-In-1 Universal Remote has the ability to learn and store commands
from your original remote(s). Later those commands can be recalled by
pressing the corresponding buttons on the Universal Remote.
Note:
Do not use the following buttons while learning and storing commands
from another remote control: LIGHT, ALL OFF, REC, EXIT or any DEVICE
button.
Ensure the Universal Remote and original remote are in the same mode .
(e.g. TV mode).
When learning, do not release the button on your original remote until
the LED slowly flashes four times and remains on.
All learned buttons are saved automatically and remain functional unless
they are cleared. (If the Universal Remote is reprogrammed with another
code, the previously learned functions are still accessible.)
Code Learn
1. Press and hold the DEVICE button you wish to program for 3 seconds.
The LED illuminates when the button is pressed and goes off after 3
seconds (e.g., TV).
2. Release the DEVICE button; the LED comes back on.
3. Press and release the REC button. The remote is now in learning mode.
To exit any time after this step, press and release the EXIT button. The
LED will flash quickly four times, then turn off.
4. Press and release one of the valid buttons of the Universal Remote you
want to learn to. The LED blinks once and remains on at low brightness.
5. Place the Universal Remote head-to-head with your original remote,
about 2 inches apart.
6. To teach the Universal Remote, press and hold the desired original
remote button. Do not release the button until the LED slowly flashes
four times and remains on. This indicates the code has been learned
and saved.
7. If a problem occurs during the learning process, the LED will fast flash .
four times to indicate an error and remain on. The remote remains in .
learning mode. To try again, repeat from step 4.
8. Repeat steps 4-6 for other buttons to be learned.
9. Press and release the EXIT button to exit learning mode at any time or
press and release EXIT button twice during steps 4-5. The LED goes off.

10. If the program limit for learning has been reached, the LED fast flashes .
four times then goes off and exits the learning mode.
11. If no buttons are pressed for more than 20 seconds, the LED .
fast flashes four times then goes off and exits the learning mode. .
All previously learned commands are saved automatically.
All Off
1. No other remote is being used to power on and off the target devices.
2. All devices are in the line of sight.
3. Auto Code Search and Brand Code Search are not being performed.
4. No target devices are being turned on and off manually.
Note: To turn back on all target devices, press the ALL OFF button again.

Your TV must have PIP capability.
Sleep Timer
This function allows you to automatically turn off the selected device after a
set interval (from 1 to 99 minutes) as you fall asleep.
To program the Sleep Timer, follow the steps below:
1. Press and hold the DEVICE button you want to program for 3 seconds.
The LED illuminates when the button is pressed and goes off after .
3 seconds (e.g., TV).
2. Release the DEVICE button; the LED comes back on.
3. Press and release the SLEEP button.

4. Enter the 2-digit time desired in minutes (01-99) using the numeric .
buttons (e.g. to program 5 minutes, enter the digits 05). If non-digit .
buttons are pressed they are ignored; the remote remains in Sleep
Timer mode.
5. After the second number is entered, the LED slowly flashes four times
and goes off. The Sleep Timer is now set; the remote functions .
normally.
6. To exit Sleep Timer mode, press and release the EXIT button.
7. If no button is pressed for 20 seconds, the remote exits sleep mode .
automatically.
Notes:
The remote should be aimed at the device within the available range.
The remote should be in the corresponding device mode to activate the
sleep timer.
Quick View
Notes:
This function allows you to view all channels quickly by one touch only .
without having to program them all manually.
This function is supported only in TV, SAT, and CABLE modes. You cannot .
use it for other devices.
1. Press and hold the CH+ or CH button for 3 seconds. The LED illuminates when the button is pressed and goes off after 3 seconds.
2. The remote control automatically sends CH+ or CH signals every .
1.5 seconds, until any button is pressed again.
Backlight
The backlight function helps you see the remote control buttons better .
in the dark.
1. To enable/disable the backlight function, press the LIGHT button.
2. When the backlight function is enabled, press any button and the
backlight turns on for 5 seconds; it remains on while a button is
pressed. The backlight goes off 5 seconds after the last button .
is pressed.
3. When this function is disabled, the backlight remains off.
4. The Backlight default setting is disabled.

Buzzer
The buzzer function lets you know when a button is pressed.
1. Press and hold any DEVICE button; the LED comes on (e.g. TV).
2. Press and release the MUTE button within 3 seconds; the buzzer is .
enabled/disabled.
3. When this function is disabled, the buzzer remains off.
4. The Buzzer default setting is on.
