ired spacing to plant seedling. Transplanting should be done late afternoon, aft
er transplanting light irrigation should be given for better and quick establish
ment. The term "transplanting" means shifting of a plant from one soil or cultur
e medium to another. It may refer to the shifting of small seedlings from the se
edbed to other containers where the plants will have more space for growth.
Fertilizing: There are many chemical fertilizers in the market but liquid organi
c fertilizers will be much better for you. Placing fertilizer too near seedlings
or young plants should be avoided.
Watering: All vegetable plants need constant moisture; some plants might need wa
tering a daily basis. Avoid wetting the foliage because wet leaves might invite
diseases.
Controlling weeds: Weed is one of the worst problem in a vegetable garden, weed
grow much faster than vegetable competing for the nutrients. Pulling the unwante
d weeds is the best way to get rid of this problem.
Pest & Diseases: Protecting the plantation against insect-pest & diseases, non-c
hemical method should be preferred. The most experts suggest that for clean cult
ivation, the defoliated (dry leaves) materials in the kitchen garden should be c
ollected and buried in soil. If insect or diseases do strike your plants, go for
the safest botanical or microbial pesticides.
