as possible so you can receive your assessment.

Step 1: Login

1. Click Sign in

2. Choose your preferred language

3. Enter your User ID number and Password.

The User ID number and Password can be found in your receipt

When entering your User ID number and Password, follow these guidelines:
Make sure the keyboard language is set to English
Do NOT include spaces in, before, or after
your User ID number or Password.

Make sure the first two letters in your Password are

written in capital letters (UPPER-CASE letters)
Try typing your User ID number and Password
rather than copying and pasting
If you are still unable to sign in, try the following:
Enable pop-ups and cookies in your Internet browser options
Enable JavaScript in your Internet browser options
If you are still experiencing difficulties, contact our Customer Service
Department.
4. Click the Sign In button

After you sign in, you will be redirected to the Welcome page, where the
status of your application and any missing information will be displayed.

Click the Continue button.

Step 3: Completing Your Application

It is important to fill out the Applicant Info accurately.

Names

For security reasons, the first and last name of the main applicant can only
be edited by a customer service representative. If a name is misspelled,
contact our Customer Service Department.
First and last names must appear exactly as written in your passport
Middle names are not mandatory

Date of Birth

Make sure to use the following format: (Month/Day/Year)

Nativity Country

For people born in a country eligible for DV Lottery participation:

You do not have to enter information in the Nativity tab

For people who were born in a country whose natives are

NOT eligible for DV Lottery participation, but neither of your
parents were born in that same country OR were legally
resident there at the time of the applicants birth: You can
claim nativity in one of your parents country of birth, if natives
from that country qualify for DV Lottery participation

Profession

This field is optional and wont be included in your submission

English Level

This field is optional and wont be included in your submission

Children

Select the number of unmarried children you have that are under the age of
21 years from the list.

Please note that you MUST include your spouse and all unmarried
children under 21 years of age in your application.

CV (Resume)

This field is optional and wont be included in your submission.

Photo Requirements
Each applicant must provide a photo of his/her
face. Group photos will not be accepted.

Step 3: Completing Your Application

Uploaded pictures must be in JPEG or JPG file format, at

least 600 pixels by 600 pixels and 24 bits per pixel.
Scanned pictures must have a resolution of
at least 300 dpi (dots per inch).
Photos must be in color.
Photos must be in focus.
No sunglasses, hat, or head covering may be worn, except for
religious reasons. Even then, no part of the face can be obscured.
Make sure to include your full name, User ID number
and specify the name of the person in each photo.

Submitting Photos

Photos can be submitted in three ways:

Upload photos online. To upload a photo, click the
Browse button, find your photo, and click upload.
Email photos to photo@usafis.org. In your email, include your
User ID number and the names of the person in each photo.
Mail a regular applicant passport photo to the following address:

Step 3: Completing Your Application

In your letter, include your User ID number and

the names of the person in each photo.
After completing the Applicant Info tab, click the Continue button.

Spouse

1. If you selected a marital status of Married in the

Application Tab, you will see a Spouse Info tab.

2. Fill out details for your spouse.

3. Click the Continue button.

Children

If you indicated that you have unmarried children under the age of 21 in the
Application Tab, you will see a Children Info tab.

Fill out details for each child.

Children over 21 years of age are considered adults and must
complete their own applications, if they qualify for DV Lottery

1. If you wish to remove a child from your application,

click Remove child from application
2. After filling out the Children Info tab, click the Continue button.

Step 4: Enter Your Contact Details

After completing the Application Info, Spouse Info, and Children Info tabs
(Spouse and Children Info tabs appear only when relevant) and clicking
Continue, you will be taken to the Contact Details tab. Fill in the required
information.

Step 5: Submit Your Application

Step 5: Submit Your Application

On the Contact Info page of your application, click the Submit Changes
button on the bottom of the page to save your changes and submit your
application.

Summary Page

Your application will be reviewed by our experts. When the review is

completed, you will receive an email confirming the completion of your
application or requesting additional details or changes.

If any of your personal information (marital status, number of children, home

address, email or phone number) changes, please contact us immediately.
