TRANSLATION
The minds of those gops are always absorbed in Me, and their very lives a
re ever devoted to Me. For My sake they have abandoned everything related to the
ir bodies, renouncing ordinary happiness in this life, as well as religious duti
es necessary for such happiness in the next life. I alone am their dearmost belo
ved and, indeed, their very Self. I personally sustain such devotees, who for My
sake give up all worldly duties.

Don t Trust Me
O my Lord
I think You know that I love only You,
although I pretend to love other people and things.
I think You know that when I am sad
it s because I feel separated from You,
although if I am asked
I would give other reasons.
When I cry, it s always because of missing You,
although my tears carry other names.
I think You also know
that I am only looking for You,
although I seem to be looking for other persons and things.
Yes, I am a divided soul,
searching for something in the east,
while going west.
I am a helpless soul,
forced by some other agent long ago
to play the double life of a devotee and a cheater.
But do You know why I am writing You this?
It s because I want Your special mercy.
Don t believe my acts,
don t trust my words,
but look deep into my heart
and You will see Your own beautiful image.
(by HH Sacinandana Swami)
Do not hear from the mouths of persons lacking proper conduct. If your co
nduct is below par, you should not publicly preach about the Lord. Close the doo
r and preach to yourself. Bhajan really begins when one s outside and inside are t
he same.

Chariot analogy Sanskrit (41)
This is confirmed in the Kaha Upaniad (1.3.3-4,9) as follows:
tmna rathina viddhi
arra ratham eva ca
buddhi tu srathi viddhi
mana pragraham eva ca
indriyi hayn hur
viays teu gocarn
so 'dhvana pram pnoti
tad vio parama padam
The soul is the occupant of the chariot of the body, of which the driver
is the intelligence. The mind is the determination to reach the destination, th
e senses are the horses, and the sense objects are also included in that activit
y. Thus one can reach the destination, Viu, who is parama padam, the supreme goal o
f life. In conditioned life the consciousness in the body is the cause of bondag
e, but the same consciousness, when transformed into Ka consciousness, becomes the
cause for one's returning home, back to Godhead.
Smti literature:

In this world of duality, family life is the cause that spoils one's spi
ritual life or meditation. Specifically understanding this fact, one should acce
pt the order of sannysa without hesitation.

TRANSLATION
My dear friends, O sons of the demons, you cannot please the Supreme Per
sonality of Godhead by becoming perfect brhmaas, demigods or great saints or by be
coming perfectly good in etiquette or vast learning. None of these qualification
s can awaken the pleasure of the Lord. Nor by charity, austerity, sacrifice, cle
anliness or vows can one satisfy the Lord. The Lord is pleased only if one has u
nflinching, unalloyed devotion to Him. Without sincere devotional service, every
thing is simply a show.

[The brhmaas said:] To hell with our threefold birth, our vow of celibacy
and our extensive learning! To hell with our aristocratic background and our ex
pertise in the rituals of sacrifice! These are all condemned because we were ini
mical to the transcendental Personality of Godhead.
