Outstanding Muslim Youth joins CE0’s at IPPP and MUSLIM WORLD

Ten Outstanding Muslim Youth (TOMY) 2008 Awardee Aleem Siddiqui


Matabalao Guiapal joined CEO’s and ministers from more than 30 public
sector PPP Policy-makers & Practitioners of developing Commonwealth
Countries and OIC member states at the International Investment
Conference on Public and Private Partnership (IIPPP) and Muslim World
Business and Investment Zone (Biz) 2010 on June 3-4, 2010 and June 4-6,
2010 respectively at Kuala Lumpur, Malaysia.

Guiapal was recently sponsored by the British Embassy as part of the


Delegation from the Philippines in the recently concluded 6thWorld Islamic
Economic Forum at Kuala Lumpur on May 18-20, 2010 at the Kuala Lumpur
Convention Center, Malaysia attended by CEO’s and head of states from
various OIC and ASEAN member states including delegation from the Muslim
Council of Britain (MCB), CIMB, Islamic Development Bank and Sime Darby
among others. His representation is thru his volunteer work as Project
Director of the Mindanao Youth Speak (MYSpeak).

With his development background and experience in small sized enterprise,


Guiapal widens his social network with the main objective of empowering
small and medium sized enterprise in Mindanao and gains access to
international partners. He manages AG Consulting firm, a marketing and
service outsourcing firm with partners from Yellowstone Corporation (North
America) and Global Sublets, Inc. (New York.)

There were huge potentials to strengthen the economic structure of


Mindanao, Guiapal said. The internal natural resource of the land is vast. It’s
a matter of putting things on place. “It is a tough job, but if we are sincere in
what we are doing, great things can be accomplished.” He sees
strengthening social network as a means to widened opportunities for the
economic ventures of Mindanao and the country in general.

The Philippine Investment opportunities was presented at IIPPP Conference


by Stephen de los Reyes , Consultant of the Philippine National Oil Company
(PNOC). He was joined by Roger E. Buendia, OIC, President and CEO of the
same company. Other country presenters were from Nigeria, South Africa,
Indonesia, Malaysia and PPP Practitioners from the Pacific, Caribbean, West
Africa, and East Africa. The said event was chaired by Datuk Dr Mohammad
Annas Mohd Nor, Chairman of the PPP Resource and Advisory Council.

The Muslim World Biz 2010 provides an ideal platform for businessmen,
entrepreneurs, international investors & buyers from all parts of the world to
explore Joint Venture, Investment and Trade opportunities available in the
Muslim Countries as well as in other participating countries from US, Europe,
Central Asian Republics, China, India, and the Far East. It was organized by
the OIC International Business Centre and chaired by Dato Dr. Raja
Mohamad. Tan Sri Datuk Seri Elyas Omar, Chairman of the OIC Business
Center concludes the event with his words that “ globalization can be
moulded according to the requirements of Islam and the needs of Muslims.

Guiapal represented other small sized enterprise in Maguindanao and


Cotabato City organized by lawyer entrepreneur Rasol Mitmug, Jr. in
coordination with the Board of Investments of the Autonomous Region in
Muslim Mindanao and in Metro Manila duly coordinated by the National
Commission on Muslim Filipinos (NCMF) Acting GSD Chief Almojin
Pandapatan.
