SPECIALIST WEEKLY COURSE

MODULE 2
COURSE OBJECTIVES
The course introduces participants to the CAD system Modaris Lectra, with a theoretical and practical study of its main
features and functions.
The course is designed for patternmakers or patternmaking students.
The participants at the end of the course are able to enter patterns, create patterns and elaborate them using the
program.
The students will use the most updated version of the program (Modaris V7R1) thanks to the collaboration between Istituto
Secoli and LECTRA.

Weekly attendance: 4 hours
Total course hours: 40 (10 lessons)

ADMISSION REQUIREMENTS
The course is open to Patternmakers. Students who have not taken CAD Modaris Lectra Module 1 must have a
thorough knowledge of Modaris. Foreign students are required to have a good knowledge of the Italian language. For

QUALIFICATION
Istituto Secoli certificate of attendance.
Students must attend at least 80% of the lessons to be eligible for the certificate
DOCUMENTS NEEDED FOR REGISTATION
1) EU citizens and Swiss nationals: application form; copy of Identity Document; 3 passport photos; copy of previous
diploma/degree/courses attended; copy of tax code (codice fiscale). Application forms are available from our office; you

2) Non EU citizens: application form; copy of passport; 3 passport photos; copy of previous diploma/degree/courses
attended; once students have arrived in Italy they must also present: copy of visa; (students must apply and receive their
visa before leaving their own country) copy of residence permit; copy of tax code (codice fiscale).

FASHION SHOW
This course does not include the end of year Fashion Show organized by Istituto Secoli.
MATERIALS PROVIDED
CAD Patternmaking manual; during lessons students will use the institutes computer lab; the program that will be used
is: MODARIS V7R1 Lectra
TEACHERS QUALIFICATIONS: PROJECT-DEPARTMENT
All teachers are graduates from Istituto Secoli, have worked in the fashion industry, have worked for at least one year as
an assistant to one of Secolis tenured teachers, and attend regular training courses in respective teaching areas.
