King County Housing Authority Team Project

All elements of work plan competed: gap analysis, report template, info gathering
process/spreadsheet
Excellent job negotiating difficult interactions among KCHA asset managers, resident
services, New Futures site staff, and NF headquarters to complete all site visits and
interviews completed, along with an informal presentation of findings at KCHA
Practical, immediately useful products: template and spreadsheets
My only critique: The gap analysis report wasnt quite what you promised in your work
plan, focusing entirely on data collection and not on actual services being delivered,
though I recognize that this was a late addition to the plan and not one from Craig. Given
the data you collected, your analysis was the only responsible way to go.
The amount and quality of the rest of the work makes up for this deficiency
GRADE: A
According to feedback from your teammates and my own observations, you contributed
as much as, and possibly more than, the average team member. Accordingly, you
received the full team grade.
Personal Leadership Portfolio
Manifesto: Clear values (3 Ps), well-elaborated
o Excellent job grappling with the definition of leadership
o Helpful to include Burns and Heifetz in defining an identity of leadership and
an ethic of responsibility
Plan: Detailed and even meticulous. I know this is based on a system youve developed
already, but its impressive. Im most impressed you can use it successfully.
Resource List: Complete and well-annotated list. Well done.
The appendices are helpful.
Overall, youve provided more than I asked. As always this demonstrates hard work and
diligence. You have done a lot of planning, and you have really grappled with the theory
of leadership. My only concern is that this whole thing is a bit unwieldy, at least for me.
But I also recognize it likely works well for you.
LEADERSHIP PORTFOLIO GRADE: A
Class Contribution
Attended most classes, conscientious in preparation.
In class discussions: more engagement in course material. Your participation in class
discussions and class-wide contribution grew over the two quarters. You critiqued the
readings, went back and forth with Mike, and led several discussions on leadership. Well
done.
Very good on-line contributions, including 6 replies to other students cases with
supportive and insightful comments

Very good contributions to in-class contributions as well. Your leadership on-line carried
over, as we often investigated issues you raised on-line or you as you explained your line
of questioning.
Overall, very impressive contributions. I observed significant personal growth. You
certainly rose to meet the challenges I set out and thoroughly engaged with the course
material.
CONTRIBUTION GRADE: A
COURSE GRADE: 3.9
