EPANET Demo/TutorialBENEFITS
Ability to define and analyze system network alternatives.
By using graphic displays of the system defined in the
model , alignments of new pipelines and the addition of
pumping and storage facilities and system valves can be
directly evaluated on the computer screen. Linking the
graphics to digital photographic reference basemaps turns
the model into a “living” system.
Ability to interrogate the database to quickly access model
input data and results. Any item or combination of data
meeting any specified design of operational criteria can be
quickly summarized in tabular or graphic form. The
database can be queried directly by selecting pipes, pumps,
valves or nodes in the network drawing.
Display of model results in visual format. By operating in
the graphic environment, color-highlighted maps of the
system can be generated to display the results of model,
runs. These maps can be created for virtually any type of
hydraulic and water quality condition that is analyzed by
the model.
Ability to confirm system demands and performance and
to improve overall system operation through accessing
SCADA information
