Before the lesson

Reviewing previous lesson or presenting the new lesson
The teacher reviews the activities conducted in the last session.
B. Lets Warm Up Activity
The learners will for groups with five members and will read the scenario below and then they
will be given 10 minutes to prepare a speech.
You are the tourism ambassadors of the Philippines who are tasked to promote the best
features of the country and its overall positive image to local and foreign visitors. Your task is to
prepare and deliver a three-minute speech in a World Tourism Expo in London to convince the
participants to visit the Philippines.
After the groups performance, two representatives from another group will be assigned by your
teacher to provide feedback within three minutes based on the following questions.
1. What do you like most about the presentation?
2. How do you think can the speech be improved?
C. After completing Lets Warm Up, the learners will tick the column that determines how often
they practice what the statements say. They will do this as objectively as possible. They can use their
performance in Lets Warm Up as a basis in completing this task.

During the lesson


A. Discussing new concepts and practicing new skills # 1
Lets Work and Learn, Exercise 1 (Class-Pair)
1. Have students answer Exercise I.
2. Learners will be asked to watch the video with their partners beforehand.
3. The teacher will give the learners 15 minutes to discuss their answers to the guide
questions.
4. Randomly call a student from each group to share their responses to the class.
Synthesize the answers then segue to the discussion.
