Senior Adult Rally

The eight people from CRBC who attended the
Senior Adult Rally at Central Baptist Church in
Wendell this past Tuesday enjoyed a devotion by
Dr. Roger Nix, congregational singing, musical entertainment by New Covenant and also heard Bill Leslie speak
and sing about Tarheel Tales and Tunes. We ended with a delicious lunch provided by The Forks restaurant.
Approximately 500 people attended the rally and we hope more CRBC members will attend the next rally in
March. More info to come in 2017.
A Growing Childrens Ministry
Recently, we have had more children and with that blessing comes a higher demand for children's workers. We
pray to offer the children the best we can offer within our means in hopes that they will grow into God fearing men
and women. Our neighborhoods are overflowing with children and young families. We hope to serve them with
excellence, reaching more families for the gospel.
Our current number of children's workers is no longer sufficient. Please consider volunteering your time and
efforts for this ministry, as we need a larger pool of workers, and as we hope to expand as we gain more children
and families. Below is a list of the current classes for Sunday school and children's church:
Sunday School:
Children's church:
Nursery: birth- up to 3 yrs
Nursery: birth- up to 3yrs old
Preschool: 3- kindergarten
Children's Church: 3-1st grade* (see note below)
School age: 1st-5th grade

Staff

We have workers for Sunday School, but need workers during the morning service.
We currently do not have a rotation for children's church, but need one so that our
workers can worship in the service on a regular basis. Children are to sit with parents
and be dismissed when Pastor Danny prompts before the sermon. Children should
meet their workers at the back of the sanctuary.
We pray that we will love the children and their families well and encourage them to
grow to look more like Christ. Please volunteer and pray for our children. Thank you!

Note: We currently allow 1st graders in children's church, but will be transitioning in the new year to kindergarten as the cut off
point. We hope that children will glean from the sermon and observe adults genuinely worshipping where it leaves an
impression upon the children. We will offer sermon note sheets or busy packets at the back for children to use during the
sermon.

Preschool Partners
Our Preschool is in need of cleaning supplies. As you are able, please provide paper towels, baby wipes, Spic &
Span spray cleaner, antibacterial gel or Clorox wipes. Place your donated items on the cart in the Welcome
Center.
Reminders

Volunteer to help with the Fall Festival on October 21st from 6:00 - 8:00 pm. Individually
wrapped candy and cupcakes are also needed.
The next Wednesday Night Supper is Wednesday, October 5th.
The Church Council will meet early this month, also on Wednesday, October 5 th.
Give to the CRBC Community Food Pantry.
Bring new, empty childrens backpacks to the Welcome Center for Jeffreys Grove Elementary.
