Larry G Jones
The Man of 1002 Voices
Complete Biography
From a small town in Alabama, to over six years and 1500+ shows as a Las Vegas Showroom
Headliner, Larry G. Jones understands Variety. With a focus on Singing Impressions; this hi-energy
show has proven to be truly entertaining for every, age, race, country, and language. If ‘something to
please everyone’ is what you need, Larry’s four octave range delivers six hilarious decades of the
most ‘dead-on’ singer, celebrity, and presidential impressions you will ever hear. Along with the
precise voices come lots of song parodies, multi-celebrity skits, physical comedy, and audience
participation.
As a kid Larry was quite the class clown and did sing in choir, then… when he was a college
freshman, Larry’s professional career started suddenly and accelerated very quickly. One day,
jamming with some college musician friends, the next day Larry became the lead vocalist and front
man for a top touring college show band. Fans immediately began to take note of Larry’s uncanny
knack for sounding like singers from every era, vocal range, and style of music and encouraged him to
try new voices.
Graduating a few years later with a BS in Mechanical Engineering from Auburn University, Jones
moved to Los Angeles to pursue his dream of becoming a singer/songwriter. Hundreds of gigs and
scores of voice lessons later, Larry won a ‘Voice and Performance Scholarship’ from the Southern
California Conservatory of Music where he auditioned with ‘4 songs in 4 languages’ (Italian,
Spanish, German, and English). Later, he was offered yet another Classical training voice
scholarship at Loyola Marymount University.
After answering an ad for “sound-alikes wanted” in a Hollywood acting magazine, Larry was soon
getting paid to perfect his voices and fine tune his ears in some of Los Angeles’ top studios. His
perfect pitch earned him the title ‘the one-take-wonder’ from many studio engineers. Within weeks,
Larry G Jones’ impressionist voices were being distributed to over 1000 radio stations’ morning
comedy shows around the world on the Pop, Country, Alternative, and Adult Contemporary
networks through radio giant ‘Premiere.’ Soon he began writing comedy and song parodies for
nationally syndicated radio comedy shows. The ‘Man of 1002 Voices’ show came to into being when
Larry decided to combine his many years of live performance & professional studio experience.
20 years later, Larry has performed successfully as a Las Vegas Headliner for over 5 Years with
consistently rave reviews and has entertained corporate clients internationally for fortune 500
companies like Taco Bell, Best Buy, Hewlett Packard, Disney, Bush Gardens and many more.
W a n t t o b e u p l i f t e d ? ! Want some inspiration for living!? Larry has escaped death three
times! First; In 1998 Larry was diagnosed with a super aggressive Stage IV metastasized, malignant
“Terminal” cancer, second; a ‘death by drowning’ survivor, and third; had complete kidney failure
and recovery. Larry is glad to share his inspiring stories and/or faith. It’s a great day to be alive.
