Introduction:

SHIFA Welfare Association (SHIFA) was established by these social and human rights activities in
year 2014 who strived hard as volunteers to create opportunities and spaces for marginalized and less
developed groups of the society. Is registered under Voluntary Social Welfare Agencies Ordinance
1961, and is a non-profit, public benefit entity established in January, 2015 as a humanitarian
organization.
SHIFA which is striving for the development and empowerment of less developed and marginalized
groups of society. SHIFA is a human-centered organization with multiple focus programs to address
the poverty linked issues of disadvantaged groups. It is striving to create opportunities and spaces for
main-streaming less developed communities so that they effectively participate in the development
processes and utilize their potentials to the fullest for their development and empowerment.

Ambitious for a peaceful, inter-reliant and progressive society endeavoring to access to prosperous

existence and sustainable development.

Mission:
The Mission of SHIFA is to help different age groups to access to reasonable and sustainable quality

education in line with their cultural values, norms and contextual realities. Promote effective and
visible participation of youth in decision making process and services. SHIFA also supports needy,
poor and disadvantaged communities in order to work for alleviation of poverty and human sufferings
from catastrophes.
Objectives:

To empower youth by building their capacity for development and active participation

To promote Peace, Conflicts Prevention and humanitarian relief

To endeavour to increase the capacity of youth to participate in decision making processes


and services.

To address human rights issues such as gender, social administration, and childrens labour
and their rightsby launching advocacy and lobbing campaigns and means of member
organizations;

To address the development issues such as empowerment, awareness, health, literacy and
unemployment;

To promote human resources by initiating expertise oriented programs though trainings,


workshops, seminars, conferences and symposia;

To infuse the sprites of development, cooperation, coordination, goodwill, organizational


capacity among CBO/NGO members of Jacobabad region;

To work for the betterment of youth in order to enhance their capabilities and polish their
skills so that they should play their vital role in the development of the nation.
