Turning a Page in Education

Campaign Goal
Education in Ecuador will host a month-long mission trip geared toward those
interested in improving education and literacy in rural, poverty-stricken
communities.
Situation Analysis
After months of hard work, Education in Ecuador has finally obtained a space to
create a school for rural children of Ecuador. By hosting a mission trip to Sierra,
Ecuador, students from Temple University will be able to provide helping hands in
order to complete the school before the upcoming year begins.
Organizational Background
Education in Ecuador is a nonprofit organization, which focuses on providing rural
children from Ecuador an education past Primary school. The organization serves as
a resource for the Ecuador community, advocate for education and literacy, and
partner to other nonprofit organizations.
Campaign Theme and Messages
Turning a Page in Education will be hosted in Sierra, a rural community of Ecuador.
This event will bring students who have a passion for education and volunteering
together to make a difference in a low socio-economic community. Individuals
involved in the mission trip will be able to learn about the Ecuadorian culture, learn
about socio-economic conditions in the country and help establish a school for rural
students.
Turning a Page in Education
This message is symbolic of what Education in Ecuador stands for, which is moving
forward in education. By hosting a mission trip to complete a school in Sierra,
students will then be able to receive an education, or turn a page in their book.

How can a student travel, make a difference in someones life, and afford
it while paying their way through college?
Many students want to have the chance to travel during their time in college, but
find that it isnt something they can afford on top of loans and working a part-time
job. However, a mission trip is a great way to do this, because it provides many
amenities that otherwise wouldnt be paid for if a student was making this trip on
their own.
Education in Ecuador provides a safe and cost-efficient way for students to
travel and make a difference in a community that needs help. By attending
the mission trip to Sierra, Ecuador, during the month of July, 2016, you can
experience the culture of Ecuador and see the effects that lack of
education and literacy have on a community.
This message answers the previous question and fulfills college students desire to
experience the world.
