REGION 4A
Calabarzon, formally known as Southern Tagalog Mainland and designated
as CALABARZON Region, is an administrative region in the Philippines. The
region comprises five provinces: Cavite,Laguna, Batangas, Rizal, and Quezon;
whose names form the acronym CALABARZON. Its regional center
is Calamba in Laguna.
Situated just south of Metro Manila in southwestern Luzon, the region is the most
populous in the Philippines, having 14,414,774 inhabitants in 2015, and is also the
country's second most densely populated. Prior to its creation as a region, Calabarzon,
together with Mimaropa, formed the historical region known as Southern Tagalog,
until they were separated in 2002 by virtue of Executive Order No. 103.
The region is home to some of the most important Philippine historical figures, most
notable of which is the Philippines' national hero, Jose Rizal, who was born

REGION 4B
Mimaropa, formally known as the Southern Tagalog Islands, is an administrative
region in the Philippines, designated as MIMAROPA Region. It is one of two
regions in the country having no land border with another region, the other
being Eastern Visayas. The name is an acronym combination of its

constituent provinces: Mindoro (divided into Occidental Mindoro and Oriental

Mindoro), Marinduque, Romblon and Palawan.
The region was part of the now-defunct Southern Tagalog region until 17 May 2002.
On 23 May 2005, Palawan and the highly urbanized city of Puerto Princesa were
moved to the region of Western Visayas byExecutive Order No. 429. However, on 19
August 2005, then-President Arroyo issued Administrative Order No. 129 to put in
abeyance Executive Order No. 429 pending a review.
Calapan is Mimaropa's regional center. However, most regional government offices
such as the Department of Public Works and Highways[6] are in Quezon City, Metro
Manila.

SIPAG O TALINO?
Talino ay mahalaga sa pag-aaral
Ito ay maganda parang pagmamahal,
Ngunit kung ito ay nasosobrahan na
Ito narin minsa ay nakakasama
Mas nakakabuti pa ang kasipagan
Dahil ito ay sanhi ng kaunlaran,
Kung walang kasipagan sa estudyante
Bunga nito ay pagbibilang ng poste
Aanhin mo ang iyong katalinuhan
Kung wala ka ring sariling kasipagan,
Wala ring maidulot na kabutihan
Ngunit kakulangan din sa kaisipan
Tulad ka lang ng maraming daan
Palagi ka na lang diyan tinatapakan,
Talagang kawawang-kawawa na diya
Parang ikaw ay nasa huling hantungan
