Sakthi Group

1947. It was a year when the world witnessed the unfolding of

a great historical event : the birth of a new nation from an ancient land.
New dreams were dreamt, visions seen and road maps chalked out by an entire
generation that had longed and struggled for freedom. These dreams became
the foundation of a modern nation. In the Deep South, in a quaint part of south
India a spirit of energy and dynamism was being scripted by the legendary
P. Nachimuthu Gounder, a visionary who forayed into many commercial
endeavors from his tradition culture of farming. The Anamallais Bus Transport
Company was established by him in 1931 and was the founding legacy of what would become a
large conglomerate. The pioneer not only had grand plans in commerce but also had a larger vision
of nation building through education. His dream was to educate the rural community in technical
education and it remains the key driver of all that has emerged today. The vision was carried forward
by his successor and son Dr. N. Mahalingam, who for the last 6 decades has been steering remarkable
societal development through mercantile ventures and educational services. Dr. N. Mahalingam,
is today a role model for different generations, and is respected for his unparalleled contributions
in the spheres of industry, agriculture, politics, societal leadership, religion, literature, culture and
most importantly, education. He was responsible for the steady growth of the Sakthi Group, from
a pioneering transport company of ABT to a multi dimensional corporate entity with interests in
Automobiles, Information Technology, Engineering, Dairy, Soya, Auto Components, Finance, Textiles,
Synthetic Gems, Agriculture and Education. India today is in its last leap towards attaining the status of
a developed nation. Education will be one of the most important enablers of dream. Sakthi Education
is a dynamic and future focused group of institutions offering services right from primary education
to postgraduate levels. Thousands of students have benefited from the services of Sakthi Educational
institutions over the last five decades. Staying true to the vision of providing learning opportunities
for the rural poor, most of Sakthi Education institutions are established in rural areas of Tamilnadu.

NATURE CLUB

HAM - RADIO operators can put their voice on the air and interact with fellow radio operators around
the world. When all other means of communications have failed, HAM enthusiasts have played a vital
role in communicating from remote inaccessible places during natural disasters like floods, hurricane
and tsunami and have aided rescue of victims.
The college HAM Club promotes amateur radio operation among students as a useful hobby. The
club organizes classes for operating HAM equipment. The club is also involved in obtaining necessary
permission from the Government Departments for HAM aspirants.

Prof. M. Anith Prem Malaravan
Asst. Professor / English
Literary club was established with the purpose of promoting awareness among the staff and students
for enhancing language skills.
Sahitya is a team of vibrant young engineers who share a passion for literature. Our team works to bring
out the literary talents in the student community as well as nurture them to become future assets in
the literary world. Sahitya enhances the critical thinking, reading and writing; facilitate achievement
through activities; and link theory to practice. Sahitya also kindles the interest for literature in the
minds of the budding engineers.
