We know the value of water
EDI provides efficient polishing of reverse osmosis (RO) permeate, removing residual salts,
silica, boron and TOC.
EDI modules combine ion-selective membranes and electric current to continuously
produce ultra-pure water (<18 megaohm/cm).

NIROSOFT provides tailor-made UPW systems based on site-specific
feed water characteristics, and client-specific water quality requirements.
We offer UPW systems with capacities from 100 lit/hr up to 50 m3/hr,
per client request.
A typical NIROSOFT UPW system includes the following stages:
First stage RO, with necessary pre-treatment.
Aeration or special gas transfer membranes (GTMs) for removal of CO2 & pH adjustment.
Second stage RO. Brine from this stage is combined with the pre-treated feed to the
1st stage RO.
Electro-deionization (EDI) modules.
Each system is individually designed, with the intent of providing the customer with the
most cost-effective system to achieve his water quality target.
NIROSOFT UPW systems are supplied skid-mounted on stainless steel frames, after
stringent in-house testing and quality control.

SELECTED EXPERIENCE
Power generation: Systems that provide UPW @ 10 megaohm/cm for high pressure
boilers at gas-fired, inland power stations of the Israel Electric Company.
Pharmaceutical: Complete system to provide UPW @ 18 megaohm/cm for use in the
pharmaceutical industry.
Food supplements: Complete system to provide UPW @ 1-5 megaohm/cm for use
in the manufacture of food supplements, vitamins and medical tablets
