TECHNOLOGIES
NIROSOFT provides tailor-made systems based on site-specific water characteristics and
conditions, utilizing and combining a broad range of treatment technologies:
Reverse osmosis (RO) membranes: desalination for process or drinking applications, heavy
metal removal, production of haemo-dialysis water
Ultra-filtration (UF) membranes: removal of colloidal and organic material from surface water,
tertiary treatment of effluents, pre-treatment to RO units
Electro-deionisation (EDI): production of high quality ultra-pure water for selected industrial
applications and high pressure steam boilers
Filtration: removal of turbidity, TSS and color
Activated carbon: removal of residual organics, colour & taste, de-chlorination
Ion exchange: water softening, removal of heavy metals

NIROSOFT water treatment systems are supplied skid-mounted on stainless steel frames, after
stringent in-house testing and quality control.

SELECTED EXPERIENCE
Mobile water purification: Provision of potable water, meeting international standards, in
remote locations, disaster areas, refugee camps and for military field units. Self-powered,
containerised and mobile units purify water from any water source.
Ultra-pure water (UPW): Combined RO + EDI systems to provide UPW water Used in power
plants, pharmaceutical and micro-electronics industries.
Dialysis units: Production of dialysis water in hospitals and clinics throughout Israel, using
RO technology with continuous UV disinfection.
Beverage plants: Application of various technologies, to ensure high quality of water used
in filling soft-drink bottles. Combinations of RO, UF and activated carbon technologies,
meeting stringent food-grade requirements.
