Description and Duties of the University Registrar

Schedule of Classes

The University Registrar is responsible for the supervision and management of all
administrative and operational functions of the Oce of the Registrar, including
but not limited to Veteran's Aairs and NCAA Certication. The Registrar ensures
the integrity, accuracy, and security of all academic records of current and former
students; facilitate eective student registration and enrollment; builds secure
student data les and sets policy and procedure for their responsible use;
maintains up-to-date course schedules, catalogs, nal examination schedules;
manages ecient use of classrooms; and supervises and maintains the Banner
and degree audit systems. The Registrar supervises the processes for the
articulation of transfer credits, graduation and certication of baccalaureate and
associate degrees, enrollment and degree verication, production of ocial
transcripts, diplomas, and commencement ceremonies. The Registrar counsels
and advises students, faculty, and sta on academic matters; and interprets and
enforces policies and regulations of the University, Boards of Regents and
Supervisors, and FERPA. Additionally, the Registrar chairs the Registration,
Credits, and Graduation Council, Calendar Committee, Registration Committee,
Grade Appeal Committee for undergraduate students, Commencement
Committee, Residence Rule Appeal Committee; and is a member of various other
Councils and Committees.
