Thelearningwasdeterminedbytheflowchartsthatstudentscompleteandthediscussion.Ithink
moststudents,around75%understoodtheimportanceofworkingasagroup,especiallywhenyouare
limitedonresources.OnethingIthoughtwassuccessfulwasthatstudentswereexcitedaboutfiguring
outtheproblem.TheybegantalkingtoeachotherandIthinkmyverbalresponsesencouragedhelped
themtofeelthattheycoulddoit.OneunsuccessfulthingwasthefactthatIdidn'tnotordermylesson
properly.TherewasonepointinthelessonwhereIdidn'tgivekidsenoughtimetowritetheideasof
theirclassmates.Iencouragedeachtabletotakeonepaperclipaway.Thiswasunsuccessfulbecauseit
tookthefocusoffoftheactuallyworksheet.Ithinkpacingandschedulingmylessonwouldhelpto
improveitinthefuture.IhadextratimeattheendsoIcouldhavegiventhemlongertocompleteeach
box.WhenIobservedthekids,Ishouldhavemadesuretheywerefollowingtherulesoftheexperiment.
