As an educator, you will be faced with software choices. In all categories of
resources that are available for the classroom, there is a wide variety of qualities;
some are excellent and some are absolutely terrible. Therefore, you should be
prepared to systematically examine computer software, as you would a book or
film, before you use it with your students. Some of the issues that you should
address are; How should you evaluate software? What categories should you use to
determine the effectiveness of the package? What other considerations should you
make? In groups of 3 or 4, decide the best method to evaluate software and design
a form that would help you with the evaluation. Be sure that the form is easy to use
so that your colleagues might use it?
