The Coastal and Plateau Indians of the 1700s did not live very far apart and were alike in many ways. However,
their lifestyles also differed in many ways. You are to compare and contrast the two groups.
Directions

Research information about the Coastal and Plateau Indians. Use chapter 3 in your book or another
resource.
Use your Venn diagram worksheet to design an original visual representation showing similarities and
differences between the two groups. Instead of the Venn diagram circles, make two or three original
outline drawing.
o Enter five to six facts inside each illustration to show similarities and differences. (You need to
have a minimum of four uniquely plateau and four uniquely coastal facts. You should have a
minimum of three similarities.)
*** Note *** Unimportant similarities or differences that are general in nature will not count. For
example: Both groups were human. Both had hair. Both ate meals. The Plateau Indians lived on the
Plateau while the Coastal Indians lived on the coast.
It needs to be decorated.
Include appropriate drawings or pictures.
Include color and be neat.
