Tomb, Devin. "Is everyone faking it online? You want to be seen at your best--and through the
filter of social media. Its easy to convince people of anything. But could lying online lead to
damage IRL?" Seventeen May 2013: 100+. General OneFile. Web. 13 Sept. 2016. This article
discusses the great influence and impact social media and technology have on the younger
generation. This gives us insight on young adults and how they find comfort with social media
these days, and ultimately how they express themselves through it. The youth describe how they
found it easy to change themselves and their ways people saw them easily with a simple click of
a button, even if it were just lies. This article supports my argument as social media gives us a
change to change our identity and how people perceive us. A dislike about yourself can be
altered to never being there or a wish can be granted without it actually happen. Social media is
messing with our minds to give us a change to have others see us as we want to be seen.

right ways and not let the pop culture of it influence your thoughts but to simple unleash your
thoughts. It analyzes the rights to have a voice that you might not be able to use with social

media as long as you use it in a smart way, this connects to my argument to convey how social
media gives people appositive impact on oneself.

Ziv, Ido, and Mali Kiasi. "Facebook's Contribution To Well-Being Among Adolescent And
Young Adults As A Function Of Mental Resilience." Journal Of Psychology 150.4 (2016): 527541. Academic Search Premier. Web. 13 Sept. 2016. This article discusses the use of a famous
commonly known social media site, Facebook that serves an easier and more efficient way of
communication. This article discusses how the use of a human to online portal communication is
mentally better for some people as an easier way of being social. It disconnects self-esteem and
shyness to enhance a conversation between two to go smoother without any anxiety. This
connects my main idea that social media is enhancing our generation and making it easier to
accept ourselves, and communicate. Its not only efficient and a base of communication, but also
a standing to make us who we are and identify ourselves completely.
