To culminate our first unit, you will create a travel brochure depicting information about a civilization you

created yourself!

This brochure should be on a white sheet of paper (8 1/2" x 11") that is folded into three sections.

o The first page should be the title page- It should include the name of the civilization and a picture
that represents that civilization.

o The second page should be your explanation and illustration of one of the 5 features of civilizations
that your civilization has.

o The third page should be your explanation and illustration of a second of the 5 features of
civilizations that your civilization has.

o The fourth page should be your explanation and illustration of a third of the 5 features of
civilizations that your civilization has.

o The fifth page should be your explanation and illustration of a fourth of the 5 features of
civilizations that your civilization has.

BE CREATIVE!!! Make up the name of your civilization, the name of a religion, the name
of the people in charge of the government, the name of the system of writing. Now is your
chance to shine. :)
The rubric is as follows:
5 points- Illustrations represent the feature and are colored
5 points- General neatness; correct grammar/spelling; use of correct materials
15 points- Each feature is thoroughly and clearly explained (-10 for each missing
explanation)
15 points- Four features and title page present (-10 for each missing element)
