Conclusion
Employment is important in our life. Employment contribute not only
growth our skills but also it educate us every moment. Never get so busy
making a living that you forget to make a life. This quote always rings on my
mind whenever there is a topic on work life balance. Recent surveys have
already indicated that more than a third of employees work extra hours every
week to get their jobs done. Most of the surveys proved that longer working

hours and productivity are inversely proportionate to each other i.e., the more
you work the lesser is your productivity.
Sometimes in order to accommodate workers need for work life balance,
firms may need to reduce the amount of work given to each employee. To
accomplish this, employers can hire new people, reduce time spent in jobrelated travel, allow for job sharing, or reevaluate the work itself and how it is
structured and organized with work process improvements and/or reengineering
of work. Therefore, a good working definition of work/life balance is
meaningful daily achievement and enjoyment in each of our important life
quadrants. These life quadrants will vary for each person but may include, for
example, work, family, friends and self.
Finally, self-management is important; people need to control their own
behavior and expectations regarding work-life balance.
