Report to Accompanying the estimate for the work of "Provision of Internal and
External Electrification to the Govrenment Backward class boys(100 Students)
Hostel at Murukkodai in Theni District"
The Government in G.O.Ms.No.105/BC,MBC&MW(BC) Department,
Dated: 26.11.2013 has accorded administrative sanction for the Construction of Hostel
Building for Govrenment Backward class boys(100 Students) Hostel at Murukkodai in
Theni District.Accordingly the main estimate for the same has been technically
sanctioned to the value of Rs. 145.27Lakhs and Registered as CER No.53 CE/20132014by the Chief Engineer(Buildings) Madurai Region, Madurai, In the sanctioned
estimate, There is L.S. provision of Rs.7,00,000/- towards the internal and external
electrification of the building.
This estimate has been prepared based on the letter received from the Electrical

Engineer, PWD, Electrical division, Madurai Vide Lr. No.:121 DB/JDO-2/C-21/2014/

dt22.05.2014 to provide internal and external electrification to the new hostel building
against the LS Provision for electrical works Rs.7,00,000/The salient features of this estimate are as follows,
As per GO Ms No:95 energy (C2) Dept Dt 02.08.2012 ,28W T5 flu. Fitting and 3
star rated 48AC ceiling fans are proposed in this estimate.
1. Necessary 28W T5 Tube lights with Electronic ballast, Fans, Plugs and Computer
set plugs with concealed copper wiring are proposed.
2. Since the free laptops are issued by Govt. Necessary computer set plugs are
proposed in the dormitories for the beneficial of the students.
3. As per site condition,Necessary St .lights are proposed to make the sufficient
illumination in the courtyard (open to Sky) and around the building.
4. Necessary DB arrangements and Isolator for Pump and External St,Lights are also
included in this estimate.
5. Necessary15A power plugs are provided in kitchen,Pantry,dinning rooms,corridor
in First and second floor for Electric chimney, 620 ltr Refrigerator water
purifier / RO unit
6. Provision for Separate wiring and 15A plugs for the solar power plant/Inverter is
included in the Estimate to the minimum no of lights for un interrupted supply.
7. 2 Nos Ex.fans are proposed in kitchen for proper air circulation.
The Estimate is prepared based on current schedule of rates of the year (2013-14)
and the expenditure can be debitable to the Head of Account:
