(September 12, 2016) (Guam Judicial Center – Hagåtña, Guam) Longtime news reporter and media professional Clynt Ridgell has been named Director of Policy, Planning and Community Relations for the Judiciary of Guam, taking over the position vacated by Attorney Dana Gutierrez, who left the Judiciary on September 9 to return to private practice.
Well-known in the local community, Mr. Ridgell has twelve years of experience in the news and media field. He has worked as a reporter in both print and television. Most recently, he served as News Director for the Pacific News Center where he also anchored its nightly news broadcast. He has worked in all elements of media production, serving as both videographer and documentarian.
Mr. Ridgell will take an active role in the various criminal justice reform efforts at the Judiciary and expand its capacity to engage the community through electronic media and communication strategies.
Mr. Ridgell is a graduate of the University of Guam, where he received a Bachelor of Arts in Communications with an emphasis in Mass Media. He begins his appointment with the Judiciary on September 19.
