a) To confirm and approve the minutes of the July monthly meeting held 13th July 2016
b) To confirm and approve the minutes of the Planning meeting held 3rd August 2016
(Copies circulated to Cllrs, hard copies will be available at the meeting).
66/16-17 Planning:
a. Updates and decisions.
b. To agree comments on application (for each application 5 minutes are allowed for
applicant/objector etc. to comment):
P/01130/16 West Wight Alpacas, land accessed off, Main Road, Wellow: Proposed fan and
extraction system to P/00463/16 TCP/30601/V on approved kitchen.
P/01100/16 Shalfleet Garage Co Ltd , Shalfleet Service Station, Main Road, Shalfleet: Proposed
storage building to include parking (revised scheme).
67/16-17 Clerks Report (copies circulated to Cllrs, hard copies will be available at the meeting).
68/16-17 Councillors reports including the Ward Councillor.
69/16-17 To Consider request from local Archivists for them to loan Parish maps for archive
exhibition at Shalfleet Hall/Church fundraising event (maps currently situated at the County Records
Office and letter of consent would be required).
70/16-17 To Consider providing a play ground sign for outside the Newbridge Play Area.

71/16-17 Finance:
i)
To Consider funding request from West Wight Sports & Community Centre, bearing
in mind Cllrs have previously seen accounts and budgeted for this in the PC Precept.
ii)
To Consider request for PC to give a donation towards IW Fun Day event to be held
in Newbridge on 24th September 2016. (Copy of letter circulated to Cllrs).
iii)
To Consider request for funding towards Help Through Crisis (Copy of letter circulated to
Cllrs).
iv)
To Note increase in the rate of Insurance Premium Tax from 9.5% to 10% after 1 October
2016.
v)
20 mph Conference To Agree who will attend at cost of 20 per head or 3 for 2.
iv)
To approve list of payments (circulated to Cllrs and copy available at the meeting).
72/16-17 Correspondence details of correspondence received tabled.
i)
To Decide whether the PC will give a further response on the proposed Solent combined
Authority proposal following previous comment that they agree in principle providing the
Island has proper representation.
ii)
To note letter from IWC on removal of the Mobile Library stops at Cranmore, Ningwood,
Thorley and Wellow from its schedule, with details of other options, including the Home
Library Service being available, and agree feedback.
iii)
To note the IWC has set up a Transport Infrastructure Task Force to see how transport
improvements could help the economic development of the Island and to agree any
comments, (to be sent to IWALC by the beginning of October).
